OK

Show the damage if deportations are delayed until formal guidance can be provided by the court
The Executive branch sets foreign policy, not the legislative, and not the judicial.
Both of the latter are way out of their fucking lanes when they influence immigration or deportations.

So your logic is that people who bypass the legal process by robbing a bank are not entitled to the legal process of a trial
We aren't discussing bank robbery, we're discussing illegal immigration, please stay on topic.

Bank robbery is a worse crime and they have Constitutional protections

Illegal immigrants are guilty of trespassing

Read the OP again. Alito explains how Roberts did not follow the law or USSC protocol.
Alito has enough problems following the law in his personal life

No one agreed with Alito. No one but bought and paid for Thomas. Plus ALITO LIED in his dissent. The asshat wrote that Trump administration lawyers “informed” a federal judge that “no” deportations “were planned to occur” on Friday or Saturday, so there was no need for emergency action.

The reason the ACLU was there was because boots on the ground eyes and ears saw that was not the case and presented evidence of it. Alito ignored the evidence and said "meh, the government said so".

Depends how you look at it.
I can argue that illegal immigration by drug cartels is killing 100,000 Americans a year, that is a "predatory invasion" by definition, which triggers the AEA. In MD another young woman's body was found buried 5' deep.

There arent 100,000 Americans murdered in 5 years and almost all of them are American men murdering their wives, girlfriends, and other dudes.

No government lawyer argued anything before the USSC, that is one of the problems.
The USSC needs to make a decision on the AEA before stopping the Executive from using his legal authority.
The AEA is current LAW.

Drug smuggling is a crime that is prosecuted on its own.
Illegal immigration is just a lack of proper paperwork. Trespassing

WTF does your post try to say? My post said drug cartels kill 100,000 Americans a year.

In 2023, 105,007 drug overdose deaths occurred, resulting in an age-adjusted rate of 31.3 deaths per 100,000 standard population

The deportations are being halted while the case is being decided.

ACLU demonstrated permanent harm if a stay was not ordered
The Government could demonstrate no harm in having to wait a while for the case to be decided

1. Deportations to the El Salvador prison for gang members are on hold.
2. I believe that Remain in Mexico deportations and the self-deporting CBP app are still happening.

Not an equivalent....
What would be an equivalent is the robbers requiring a lawsuit by the bank to return the money they stole instead of it being immediately confiscated and returned.
