We really should expect far better from a member of the Supreme Court. Actions of the Supreme Court does interest me. It seems Alito was dishonest in his partial quote he made his dissent on.

He noted the justice department said that no deportions were planned. That is not what they said. They said none were planned that night but perhaps the next day they would (I'm paraphrasing).

As we now know, busses were loaded and turned around.

The Supreme Court is finding the Trump administration not to be trustworthy

Correct it gave them appealette power on pretty much anything dealing with cases involving constitutional issues and federal matters, but original jurisdiction on very few things

I read it as reserving original jurisdiction on certain things, not denying it to them on everything.

I don't think it's ambiguous at all...it's clear on the limited cases it has orignal jurisdiction, and then expressly states on all other matters it has appellate jurisdiction.

Well, that was the claim, well actually the claim was that the Trump Admin was going to restart, at some point deporting them again....not that they have actually.

there was no actual record of it, just the complaint from the ACLU...that was sort of the issue, they did just step in, because there was literally no Court record, nothing litigated, heck the Circuit Court hadn't even had the case.
There is video of the buses leaving the facility with the prisoners being deported....and the buses being turned around and brought back to the facility and prisoners debarking.

That video was never in any sort of evidence, there was no record of it in the Courts, moreover hte Govt had no way to response to that video.

You would never believe this is a conservative court by the way they have ruled on the issues.

One absolutely would. They are defending US laws.

Now if you argued one would never believe this is a MAGA court, then you might have an argument.

So it can't intercede on a federal issue before it goes through three layers of other courts ever?

We've just seen it do so several times in the past month.

You do know that on MANY OCCASIONS Trump has skipped the lower court and appeals court and gone straight to the SC for an emergency stay etc.?

Noooo… you mean a Trump supporting partisan Justice was “less than honest”?

And in other news… water is wet

Due process used to be a conservative value
