Who’s saying that? There can be many reasons for increase in death. As for drugs and alcohol, yeah a lot of people hit the bottle and the pills a lot more during shut down.. and there has also been an increase in Contaminated drugs coming out of Mexico. OD’s increased because of fentanyl…. That’s not even debatable

Well, it's pretty obvious, some people can't be trusted with them. I know I lost several friends and acquaintances to drugs back in "the good old days".
