What part of leaving it up to the school districts (locals) to sign on or not, do you fail to grasp.

In fact, prior to 1977, when the radicals took over the NRA, the NRA supported common sense gun control. It supported Ronald Reagan when he signed the Mulford Act in CA, passed in response to the Black Panthers brandishing weapons in public. It supported the Gun Control Act of 1968.

But then something happened. Hunting fell out of favor as a sport, as most people just saw it as animal cruelty. The gun industry needed a new market, and they realized that if it was easy for criminals and crazies to get guns, all those people getting rid of their hunting weapons would want handguns for protection. Naw, fuck a hand gun, just get your hands on one of THESE babies...
