There’s lots of reasons why parents send their kids to private schooled including making sure people know they’re better than everyone else.

I’ve long said that schools should teach kids how to be a functioning member of society, which required tolerance and acceptance.

Sorry if those ideals clash with you, but I never really thought of them as liberal until you guys decided that tolerance and acceptance weren’t a part of your political ideology.

Did they ban more than Boston did? I don't recall missing out on any great literature or anything back then. My faves were Mark Twain, John Steinbeck, and Thomas Mann. Fredrick Forsyth was my favorite pop novelist, along with Agatha Christie. John LeCarre was another.

The "revolutionaries"(lefties) have been around @ least since the mid 1700's or so, @ least in Great Britain when/where the first industrial revolution occurred. The lefties were FULLY ACTIVE within our America by the time the 2nd industrial revolution(1870 onwards) started. Karl Marx had a major influence upon the average American employee ESPECIALLY in the area of factory employees, public construction employees, and most of all GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES(transportation employees etc.). While Karl Marx is highly touted as a philosopher he came across to me as a person totally devoid of any meaningful understanding of the Human Condition(human nature) what so ever.

Marx's theory on what he called "alienation" was enough for me to throw in the towel regarding Marx.
