Aches and Pains

I just had a KILLER idea!!!! Gonna call the resort tomorrow and see if I can book a room! CHEAP! They will, cuz hubby worked for them for a very long time and they STILL want him to come back to work even though they know he won't.
So..I book a room, get all settled in (being during the week and in the winter time, no problem), then go do my floating and exercise...go back to the room, snooze, watch tv...then later go do it again...go back to room, order room service....hit the very comfy bed. No driving until the next day!

Now you're talkin'

Maybe they'll send in the pool boy to ................

... never mind ...

put in google "folk remedies for RA"
and got some sites ( interestingly fro official traditional medical sites as well)

Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain Relief for Joint Pain and Inflammation
Natural Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis
Home Remedies for Arthritis - My Home Remedies - Home Remedy Forum
Natural remedies for arthritis | MNN - Mother Nature Network

Gracie, you, most probably, know already a bunch of those, but maybe there is something hidden which you have not seen.

if anybody also knows anything of the kind - that would be nice to join in as it is often a word of the neighbor which helps the most.

Cold therapy for inflammation, heat for stresses and pulls. Methadone three times a day with, Hydrocodone, Baclofen, a chaser of Meloxicam with a side of Gabapentin.

wow, that's quite a list.

have you ever trued interventional pain management?

Which ones?I had rehab, physical therapy, acupuncture, TENs units and a little device called a vertebra spinal stretcher, oh and the inclining chair.
Blow jobs work the best but, them nurses always run away when I tell them that.

I meant facet joints injections - obviously that's specific ones but interestingly enough I have seen remarkable improvement for a lot of people.
You have a standard VA recipe list. and sometimes there is a need to check the interactions of one drugs with the other ones ( especially antidepressants and antianxiety ones) as the metabolites and pathways for metabolism interact with each other.

make yourself a resort treatment.

it's a great idea.

What do you do to try to alleviate the continual aches and pains? Any secrets ya wanna share?

Personally, I am getting tired of it. Mostly it's at night. What's up with that?
I've had my share of aches and pains while wrestling in high school. I found that relaxing in the pool or at the beach in the water helped considerably. No swimming, just standing or floating in the water. The water seemed to help ease the pain somewhat. Exercising was the worst thing to do as it made the pain even more unbearable.

She's talking arthritis pain. You've got to work that out. Not hard at first, I keep saying that but you have to keep moving. What is wrestling pain, is that in the muscles?

A lot of the time it's muscle pain associated with strains and sprains. Other times it's more serious injuries like hyperextending the arm, neck or knee.

Penetrex. Get it on line, Amazon, eBay or their site. Has been effective for me. Also a compounded creme. I'll post the ingredients tomorrow when my computer is on.

Make friends with massage students and volunteer yourself as practice. :)

Gracie - Diclofenac, cyclobenzaprine, tetracaine are the three active ingredients of the compounded topical creme.

I used it for a couple of months and then developed a sensitivity to it. Dang, cuz I really thought it was helpful.

The Penetrex seems to work better for me anyway.

It's everywhere, including your soul.

What's your diet like, Gracie? There is increasing data connecting joint aches and other physical woes to inflammation caused by food allergies, especially refined carbohydrates. Have you ever tried eating a diet without gluten?

Are you a physician? A nutritionist? If not, STFU.

Jeu give em' a break. Fads are strong.

Fad, yeah. That's why my cousin had all sorts of physical ailments, from joint aches to intestinal issues and all of it went away when she was diagnosed as allergic to gluten and she completely removed it from her diet. Dietary understanding is not a fad, junior.

You are ignorant. No point in being arrogant as well, just makes you look like an asshole.

Get off your box. I never said anything about your cousin. I said when half the population claims they have Celiacs overnight it is a fad. Dietary understanding is knowing when to call bullshit.

Well....on to aches and pains, lol.

I woke up this morning to my left pinky and ring finger kinda melded together and pain like you wouldn't believe when I tried to toss the blanket off me. After rubbing the hell out of the joints, they unfroze and stopped hurting. I damn sure don't know what that was about but it sucked big hairy ones, thats fer sure.

Oh well, why didn't you say so before? A story about a cousin certainly qualifies you as an expert nutritionist! I imagine you have the degree framed and hanging in your den.

Just one example among thousands. Why don't you stop being a gook asshole for three seconds and leave Gracie's thread to the issues instead of your petty little pathetic rants. go eat your rice and sea urchins dipped in Fukashima juice.

Oh of course, doctor! Is that a new lab coat you're wearing? Very impressive.

Dump your damn doctor. Today.

Get a Rheumy that knows what they are doing.

Because I had a crappy doc, my RA progressed into being Lupus.

RA has to be hit and hit hard. I was on Enbrel and told my good doc to switch me to Orencia, which is holding the inflammation down much better.

There are better than OTC anti-inflams that a good MD will give.

I get 120 vicodin a month and gabapentin and Lyrica, too.

Only an assholish doc leaves an RA patient in pain. Everyone knows that RA gives that deep down, toothache in your bones pain.

Fire that Doc! And never forget they work for you - get one who puts your wellbeing first.

Before you develop Lupus like me.

Please.

Regards from Rosie

I believe I already told you that disgraceful attempt at being a racist douche makes no sense. Are you really as stupid as I first thought?
