Jaleel Stallings was just standing around a gas station with friends when they drove by, leaned out of their van and started shooting 40 mm nonlethal rounds. Stallings, not having any idea what's going on and thinking he's being shot at, fires his handgun at the unmarked van. As soon as he realizes they were police, he puts the gun down, lays down, and stretches out his hands.

At which point, the police roll up and start beating the shit out of him. Why were they beating him? Because they wanted to. Stallings was not fighting. Not resisting.

Then what happened? They lied about the incident and put him on trial for attempted murder. The jury saw through the bullshit and reached a verdict of not guilty.

The police who beat the shit out of him were charged with assault and given a slap on the wrist.

Of course you assholes don't care about that. A black man getting brutalized by the police doesn't reach your news.
