Zone1 about Patron Saints in general

Felix of Montecasino

Monk

Means Happy!

A martyr who gave up his life for his faith

The first thing that pops up is how he was born into wealth and gave all his wealth to the needy!

Yes, in our life time!
.

I'm fascinated by the Saints from our time, of whom we actually have photographs.

Sometimes, when I'm taking a long drive on my own, I ask St. Pio of Pietrelcina to join me in the passenger seat. One of the few Saints who actually have ridden in a car, I assume. As we must assume St. Oscar Romero also has.

Kilian of Würzburg

Martyr

Never any shortage of Catholic Martyrs, is there?

Did I ever tell you about the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Sioux Falls? One day, an insane man broke into the chapel and tried to get his hands on the Blessed Sacrament, and the Sisters guarded the Eucharist with their own bodies, and I can only imagine what could have happened if the monster had been armed.
