I feel that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus...
who is also known as The Being of Light of near death experience fame is leading me toward assisting thousands and even perhaps tens of thousands, [if not even hundreds of thousands or even millionS of former Latter day Saints], to begin to attend the local LDS ward, but remain rather quiet and not really start divisions or fights.

I am a former member of the Worldwide Church of God so I approach church membership differently than somebody who has not dealt with a situation where a church feels that they need to "mark" and "disfellowship" former members in good standing.

I do believe that HaShem - YHWH - the Word or Logos in His pre-existant form wanted THE PROPHET BALAAM to join with Moses...... but in what we know of as linear time the Prophet Balaam could not do that.......
he was too interested in money.... and he was too scared of the kings who were in contact with him.

The threat of being tortured to death can cause any of us to rethink how we problem solve!

I believe that many Latter day Saint scholars will be able to agree with what I write in the following discussion and poll, to at least some degree?

For the record....
I lean heavily toward agreement with the Latter day Saints that the USA Constitution was an "INSPIRED DOCUMENT."

I believe that essentially every USA President had at least something of a President Truman, Lord Balfour, Cyrus calling.... [even President Obama who did save millions of Israelis and three hundred million Americans from the scary possibility of "President Hillary Rodham Clinton]... back in 2008 to 2016"

"Ancient King Cyrus, Lord Balfour, President Harry Truman and President Donald J. Trump?"

You are a Latter Day IDIOT.

You are a Latter Day IDIOT.

A massive spiritual awakening is happening that is transforming the way that most of us will view our place in the universe.

LDS have a heard start over most of us because they tend to take NDE accounts seriously.

[former Atheist and near death experiencer Mellen Thomas Benedict]:

10. What Is the Best Religion?

I asked God: “What is the best religion on the planet? Which one is right?” And Godhead said, with great love: “I don’t care.” That was incredible grace.

They come and they go, they change. Buddhism has not been here forever, Catholicism has not been here forever, and they are all about to become more enlightened. More light is coming into all systems now. There is going to be a reformation in spirituality that is going to be just as dramatic as the Protestant Reformation. There will be lots of people fighting about it, one religion against the next, believing that only they are right.

Everyone thinks they own God, the religions and philosophies, especially the religions, because they form big organizations around their philosophy. When Godhead said, “I don’t care,” I immediately understood that it is for us to care about. It is important, because we are the caring beings. It matters to us and that is where it is important. What you have is the energy equation in spirituality. Ultimate Godhead does not care if you are Protestant, Buddhist, or whatever. It is all a blooming facet of the whole. I wish that all religions would realize it and let each other be. It is not the end of each religion, but we are talking about the same God. Live and let live. Each has a different view. And it all adds up to the Big Picture; it is all important.

I went over to the other side during my NDE with a lot of fears about toxic waste, nuclear missiles, the population explosion, the rainforest. I came back loving every single problem. I love nuclear waste. I love the mushroom cloud; this is the holiest mandala that we have manifested to date, as an archetype. It, more than any religion or philosophy on earth, brought us together all of a sudden, to a new level of consciousness. Knowing that maybe we can blow up the planet fifty times, or 500 times, we finally realize that maybe we are all here together now. For a period they had to keep setting off more bombs to get it in to us. Then we started saying, “we do not need this any more.” Now we are actally in a safer world than we have ever been in, and it is going to get safer. So I came back from my NDE loving toxic waste, because it brought us together. These things are so big. As Peter Russell might say, these problems are now “soul size.” Do we have soul size answers, YES!

All sincere seekers have some pieces of the big puzzle picture. If we will genuinely seek to know the truth our Creator will arrange for us to find out more and more and more pieces of the puzzle. I did something rather strange back in 1990, I was very disappointed with what I was finding out that I perceived as my having been terribly off in my understanding on the State of the Dead so I raised my right hand up in the air and I prayed and quoted Isaiah chapter forty five. I asked Messiah Yeshua - Jesus to take me by the right hand and show me my errors and misunderstandings and sins so that I could do a better job of passing on information, [especially knowledge related to the purpose of our lives], than I felt that Pastor General Herbert W. Armstrong had done.

I am so glad that H. W. A. and his son Garner Ted got me out of Atheism but I also believe that to the degree that we were off track related to the State of the Dead was a critical topic that needed to be addressed in a manner that would be more accurate than what Pastor General Herbert W. Armstrong had done.

I'm very glad you got saved, but for the most part, the age of prophecy is closed. God's word is truth; be skeptical of everything else.

Take a long and serious look at the flavour of 2 Corinthians 12: 1-5. Isn't the Apostle Paul attempting to the best of his ability to NOT be overly dogmatic or exaggerating his own authority to comment, with authority, about his own unusual experience?

Should not all readers of 2 Corinthians 12 learn from Paul to NOT exaggerate our ability to comment beyond our ability to actually understand what has been happening?

"It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 3And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— 4how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 5Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities. "
2 Corinthians 12: 1-5]

Did this happen to Paul when he had been stoned and had appeared to be dead at Lystra? I of course cannot be dogmatic about that possibility, but at least this is worthy of consideration as a possibility.

Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. 20However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Another valid question that is generated out of 2 Corinthians 12 verses one to five is......
did the Apostle Paul in Romans chapters nine, ten and eleven, come as close as he could come to writing about the topic that he considered "unlawful to be uttered" a few years previoiusly?

I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 4who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

1Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
5For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” 6But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, 3“Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”? 4But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Romans 11, in my opinion, hints at the plans of the God of Abraham for Israel that will offend many Theologians.

For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.
33Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
34“For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35“Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”
36For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

By "member" do you mean you were baptized by a minister from the CoG?

Were you disfellowshipped?

I have to say that if he is on medication it should be reviewed , perhaps for an increase .

And if he is not , the same should apply -- an urgent review .

I am sure he means well and believes his posts .
But that , of course , is the problem that he cannot see .
An over enthusiastic and out of control R -gene .

He is in for some huge shocks at some time in the future, particularly when he finds that his jesus was just a half decent married Essene preacher and father , and not the Head Gardener up there in the sky .
But imho .

H. W. A. and his son Garner Ted got me out of Atheism

I used to watch their broadcasts once in a while. Interesting topic choices. O like to watch Perry Stone's show every week, mainly for his tours and history sermons and bible studies. A deal a lot with the Mormon food bank there in Dallas; they have a lot good prep storage and supplies systems going on, and they aren't annoying.

Other than that I'm pretty much an atheist when it comes to 'supernatural' beliefs, and find Christianity and early Hebrewism to be pretty much spot on re social and legal realities and its writings to be great contributions to western thought and politics, and historically critically important to western success and prosperity.

Sad to be witnessing their decline in influence and the inevitable decline and degeneracy in America and Europe to just another shithole cess pool in a couple more decades. Glad I lived in the times I have, though, but feel sad for my children and grandkids. who are going to be much worse off, thanks to spoiled left wing halfwits and sociopaths with high self-esteem and no brains working to destroy it all on their drug addled fits of rage and racism. The current fad of defending Islam is just bizarre and insane dumbassery.

Thank you Luiza.....
I have to admit that Chlorpromozine was the only drug that would keep my dad from having auditory and visual hallucinations. I take high levels of MSM for lower back pain relief but the MSM does have other side effects I must admit. MSM tends to make us happier and more optimistic. MSM cannot be patented because it is a natural substance like vitamin C.

Stress

[td]
Many people using MSM have reported feeling better and stronger and capable of increased endurance. During a test with 14 persons using MSM for periods from seven months to over one year, none of them became ill (3). One stress study involved two groups of 25 goldfish, which were removed from a large aquarium and placed in two identical, small aquariums. One group was fed ordinary goldfish food, and the other group received the same food with 2% by weight of MSM added. Movement confinement, temperature changes and marginal oxygenation stressed the fish in both aquariums equally. After five days, only one fish of the MSM group had died, against 11 (almost 50%) of the control group (3).
It is a common practice in intensive cattle breeding to add antibiotics to animal feed in order to promote growth and prevent the outbreak of stress-related diseases. Animal products such as meat, milk and eggs contain residues of antibiotics, which pass into the consumer. The abundant usage of antibiotics is largely responsible for the creation of resistent bacteria strains. Well known examples are the "hospital bacterium" MRSA (meticillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), and the VRE's (vancomycin-resistant enterococci). Today, increasing resistance of bacteria is considered one of the major threats to human health. It is an intriguing thought that adding MSM to animal feed might reduce stress and improve animal health to a level where the usage of antibiotics can be strongly reduced.

I have a hard time figuring out what and where he stands on theological issues. He's on another board I visit, so I'm used to his flights and think he means well, just has a hard time focusing and I picture him fidgeting a lot.

yes, I do fidget a lot.....
and I am thinking that everything that is written in the Bible can be related to Modern World Problems such as how best to stabilize the climate and prevent ocean levels from danerously rising over the coming decades and centuries.

I made quite a few significant errors in the following video that I did back in 2010 but I can correct many of those errors now in 2026.

Dr. James Hansen has stated that the last time that average global temperatures increased by three degrees, ocean levels rose by 25 meters over only about four centuries. There are 143,000 acres along the Bay of Fundy that are highly vulnerable to rising ocean levels. In my part of Nova Scotia the difference between low tide to high tide is only about one meter. Along parts of the Fundy the difference is over 15 meters. My question is, could a thirty centimeter, (one foot) average rise in ocean levels translate into high tides along the Fundy being up 4m or more???????

There is actually an ancient Islamic Hadith that predicts that the deserts of the Islamic nations will be turned green in the "Last Hour."

Book 005, Number 2208:
"Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers."

Well, I'm not much concerned about sea levels, since many of those alleged 'scientists' seem to have fudged a lot of data, and I don't consider Al Gore a trustworthy source of anything, not to mention Obama ran around touting the' 'the oceans are rising and going to kill us all soon!!!', and then after retiring he runs out and buys this:

CWBJevfn3FRs4YBEnZawdE-768-80.jpg.webp

Gore made himself a billionaire off the 'carbon credits; shakedown, so you can understand why most people are skeptical. And besides, if the planet warms up that much, it will also evaporate water at a much higher rate and most of it will either be clouds or get dumped somewhere near the mountain ranges. Just my opinion, as well as the fact that C02 makes plants grow a lot faster and they then suck up more of it as well.

the Earth will do just fine. It is people that will kill themselves off.

HikerGuy83 might be a (hidden) FLDS or Barlowite.

If you were to do a search for "Prophet Joseph Smith, Multiple Mortal Probations" you could find a fascinating article that might remind you of the Gilgul Cycle of Judaism or even of the Dr. Ian Stevenson research.

I can't remember which branch of the L. D. S. it was that I found writing on that topic. But I will try to dig up that article?

Here is one article on this topic... but the specific link no longer works... but at least you can see the name of the LDS branch involved:

MULTIPLE MORTAL PROBATIONS

"Another Way
Yet there is a second way to look at this. It may very well be that the Kabbalists are referring to our desires being born over and over until they are cleansed and purified. In the Zohar there are stories of people that were wicked dying and becoming righteous as they are born again into the world. For example, the Zohar tells us that the soul of Cain is reborn as Jethro and Able as Moses. And, by their friendship, Cain is able to repent of his sins against Able. If the Torah and the scriptures are the story of us, then this would be our wicked desires being reborn in righteousness, not necessarily reincarnation." (David, First Elder)

Dennis is more like real LDS than HikerGuy83.

My all time record for being excommunicated, shunned, disfellowshipped or "shunned" from Christian churches is two, in just over one month back in 1991. I suggested to Worldwide Church of God Pastor G... M.... that he may as well kick me out because I knew that I would be no good at simply paying tithes and praying for Pastor General Joseph W. Tkach Sr, and Jr.

Later I found the Philadelphia Church of God led by Pastor General Gerald Flurry and I wrote off a letter that I knew would let me know if I could fit in there or not, [and the answer was NO]!

I cannot fully join even the most impressive branch of the L. D. S. because there are some topics that I know that I am supposed to get into that would only get me kicked out if I were a LDS "in good standing."

I am merely a Messianic Jew who fellowships with LDS Elders and even attends a local Ward on occasion, [but I know that I could never regard Prophet Joseph Smith as having fulfilled the role of the final Elijah.

The description of what the final Elijah must accomplish in Ecclesiasticus chapter forty eight is too obviously very different than what Joseph Smith did, [even though he was a talented writer whose ideas on the afterlife are similar to my own].

And Elias the prophet stood up, as a fire, and his word burnt like a torch. 2 He brought a famine upon them, and they that provoked him in their envy, were reduced to a small number, for they could not endure the commandments of the Lord. 3 By the word of the Lord he shut up the heaven, and he brought down fire from heaven thrice. 4 Thus was Elias magnified in his wondrous works. And who can glory like to thee? 5 Who raisedst up a dead man from below, from the lot of death, by the word of the Lord God.

6 Who broughtest down kings to destruction, and brokest easily their power in pieces, and the glorious from their bed. 7 Who heardest judgment in Sina, and in Horeb the judgments of vengeance. 8 Who anointedst kings to penance, and madest prophets successors after thee. 9 Who wast taken up in a whirlwind of fire, in a chariot of fiery horses. 10 Who art registered in the judgments of times to appease the wrath of the Lord, to reconcile the heart of the father to the son, and to restore the tribes of Jacob.
