Zone1 about Patron Saints in general

Beautiful! Forsythia! I wish we had some here, but I haven't seen any.

Budding forsythia out of season is a popular thing to do on the West Coast, where I lived my whole adult life, but we never associated it with Saints' days.. Such a welcome splash of color!

Thank you!

Perpetua

Martyr

In Roman North Africa
.

She and Felicity are addressed every day in the first Eucharistic prayer.

Perpetua was a noblewoman and Felicity was her servant, and both were martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ.

I am grateful for our priest's homilies, in which he asks us if we'd have the courage to die for our faith in Jesus Christ. I always spend a lot of time wondering the same, when father reminds us of the martyrs.
