Zone1 about Patron Saints in general

.

Today is the Feast of St. Anselm, who St. Thomas Aquinas named The Father of Scholasticism.

I'm having trouble finding out anything reliable about his patronage.

Today is the Feast of St. Gianna Molla, the patron Saint of the pro-life movement, which makes her one of my favorite Saints.

An Italian pediatrician, wife and mother, St Gianna gave her own life to save the life of her unborn child.

Today, May 15, is the Feast of St. Dymphna, an Irish Saint and the patroness of those with mental, emotional and neurological disorders.

Today the Church celebrates the feast of St. Dymphna, a seventh-century Irish princess and the patroness of people with mental afflictions.

St. Dymphna took a vow of chastity as a young woman. When her own father, who was deeply unstable after the death of his wife, sought Dymphna, she refused and fled to Belgium, but he eventually found her and killed her. The town where she was martyred soon became a site of pilgrimage and a place of refuge for those suffering from mental illness.

It is also the Feast Day of St. Isidore, the patron of farmers, particularly important to those in my area, in the middle of thousands of acres of farmland.
