Americans have no shared values with the Democrats.....not the second amendment, religious freedom, secure borders.......or even the first amendment of the Constitution.

1. The Democrat regime need not outright 'own' the information highway, as long as those who do bend the neck and the knee to the regime. The allies determine what views are sold to the populace, and what is to be censored.
Anne Applebaum, who observes about Soviet-era suppression: “Actual censors were not always needed. Instead, a form of pervasive peer pressure convinced writers, journalists and everyone else to toe the party line; if they did not, they knew they risked being ejected from their jobs and shunned by their friends.”

2. JONATHAN TURLEY: I want to emphasize that a lot of people on the left that have said if it's not prohibited on the First Amendment, it's not a free speech issue. That's not true. The First Amendment is not the exclusive domain of free speech. What they are doing is shutting down free speech. The left has come on to a winning strategy. …. they've discovered that if they use corporations to control speech, it falls outside the First Amendment. But it's not true that what they're doing is not a free speech attack. It is. They're trying to stop people from speaking on these platforms….

3. We found out recently that the FBI actually pressured private organizations to censor stories that would injure the Democrat Party:
🌐
Zuckerberg: FBI told Facebook to censor Hunter Biden laptop story ...israel365news.com › uncategorized › zuckerberg: fbi told facebook to censor hunter biden laptop story before election
- In an interview with Joe Rogan, the CEO of the internet giant revealed that the
FBI meddled in the elections and possibly violated the first amendment.

4. Sooooo......the warning from the Daily Signal has come far too late: Canada, the prison camp to our North, has no Constitution....but, under the Democrat regime.....neither do we.

"In Canada, Free Speech Is Under Fire. America, Take Heed.
....on Sunday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, “Threats, violence, intimidation of any kind are always unacceptable, and this kind of cowardly behavior threatens and undermines our democracy and our values of openness and respect.”

These handwringing comments come on the heels of efforts by the Canadian government to tamp down on free speech rights.

The government, led by Trudeau’s Liberal Party, has promised to institute a so-called online harms bill that would press companies to censor whatever the government defines as “harmful.”

After claiming that the protests were not really speech and were just hateful bigots complaining, Trudeau’s government proceeded to invoke the Emergencies Act. The invocation granted the government sweeping powers, which it immediately used to crush the free speech....."

5. "But Americans shouldn’t look the other way, since Trudeau’s brand of authoritarian speech-policing isn’t isolated to the Great White North.

Here at home, we see so-called hate speech being used against protected groups like Black Lives Matter or transgender people used as an excuse to ban or deplatform those critical of the radical left.

While the American government hasn’t yet been able to destroy that pesky First Amendment and pass laws banning hate speech, social media platforms, most notably Facebook and Twitter, do the job for them and regularly retaliate against their opposition."
In Canada, Free Speech Under Fire. America, Take Heed.

6. What sort of lawyer would be employed to maintain the Constituton....yet hate free speech????

This sort:
1661105330869.png

Democrat Kagan.

"In her 1993 article "Regulation of Hate Speech and Pornography After R.A.V," for the University of Chicago Law Review, Kagan writes:

"I take it as a given that we live in a society marred by racial and gender inequality, that certain forms of speech perpetuate and promote this inequality, and that the uncoerced disappearance of such speech would be cause for great elation."

In a 1996 paper, "Private Speech, Public Purpose: The Role of Governmental Motive in First Amendment Doctrine," Kagan argued it may be proper to suppress speech because it is offensive to society or to the government.
That paper asserted First Amendment doctrine is comprised of "motives and ... actions infested with them" and she goes so far as to claim that "First Amendment law is best understood and most readily explained as a kind of motive-hunting."

Kagan's name was also on a brief, United States V. Stevens, dug up by the Washington Examiner, stating: "Whether a given category of speech enjoys First Amendment protection depends upon a categorical balancing of the value of the speech against its societal costs."
If the government doesn't like what you say, Elena Kagan believes it is the duty of courts to tell you to shut up. If some pantywaist is offended by what you say, Elena Kagan believes your words can be "disappeared".

7. Under Democrat/Liberal LBJ, the law was passed that deprived pastors 2of their right of free speech.
What possible compelling government interest could this represent????

The 1954 federal Johnson Amendment prohibits a pastor from talking about candidates from the pulpit in light of Scripture. Thus, based on what a pastor says about an election from the pulpit, the tax code allows the government to tax a church. Consider that in light of the Internal Revenue Service's increasingly vague regulations, and you have a recipe for the censorship of religion. The IRS, through those vague regulations, reserves for itself tremendous discretion and power to decide which churches to punish for violations of the Johnson Amendment and which not to punish.”
Why don't churches pay taxes?

Any reading of the first amendment will prove this to be unconstitutional.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

8. And here is the real anti-Fascist:

"My Administration is also defending religious liberty, and that includes the Constitutional right to pray in public schools. In America, we do not punish prayer. We do not tear down crosses. We do not ban symbols of faith. We do not muzzle preachers and pastors. In America, we celebrate faith. We cherish religion. We lift our voices in prayer, and we raise our sights to the Glory of God!"

Notice how often they say or infer that those who dare to simply disagree with them aren't even Americans.

This, while they constantly talk about splitting the country up and/or seceding.

This is a group pathology we're looking at. They have been manipulated into a freakin' madness by voices they trust.

Back for another lesson???

Excellent.....and not a minute too soon, you dunce.

One can be an American, with American values and respect for the Constitution but not a Democrat at the same time.....never both....fool.

Let me explain why:

The Constitution was a distillation of the views of Madison, Jefferson and Franklin. Progressivism is from the views of Rousseau, Hegel and Marx.

Now, let's quote 'progressives,' also known as totalitarians.

a. The Germans have a history of embracing authoritarian rule. As the German philosopher Hegel said, “The state says … you must obey …. The state has rights against the individual; its members have obligations, among them that of obeying without protest” (Ralf Dahrendorf, Society and Democracy in Germany).

b. The attitude of the FDR government can be seen in these words of A.B. “Happy” Chandler, a former Kentucky governor: “[A]ll of us owe the government; we owe it for everything we have—and that is the basis of obligation—and the government can take everything we have if the government needs it. . . . The government can assert its right to have all the taxes it needs for any purpose, either now or at any time in the future.”

From a speech delivered on the Senate floor

May 14, 1943
Happy Chandler's dangerous statism - The Bluegrass Institute for Public Policy Solutions

c. Jim Cramer, one of the Left's apparatchiks, say what Democrats believe, encourage.....but blames it on the other side.

“government has a right to force you to obey and has always exercised it especially under GOP”

Anyone think to question what the GOP has forced any to obey about?

Masks?

Injections?

Taxation?

See what I mean about the Left/Progressives lying about everything?

The Democrats are the European Party, the party of Obey.

We’re the other side, the personal liberty, individualism, the right to make personal decisions.

I guess I know which you are.

Don't forget the 'thank you,' you phony.

Republicans attacked our Capitol

The problem with how you frame your argument is that you want people to infer that all Republicans attacked the Capitol when, in truth, it was a sliver of a percentage of all Republicans who attacked the Capitol...

9. "Trudeau’s Canada and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Justice Department here are dire warning signs of a frightening new breed of authoritarianism. The state will ruthlessly enforce orthodoxy toward leftist positions and accuse peaceful protests against them as hateful.

Canadian and American elites alike are trying to strip us of our free speech rights to insulate themselves from criticism. We can’t let them."

10. But.......we have let them.

Do you see a way out from under the thumb of the Democrat regime????

I don't.

Like I said, the tree of liberty is in need of watering.

Did EVERY Republican attack the Capitol?
Of course not

But every Republican who excused their actions and refused to take action is complicit

You keep whining about one riot while you approved of 575 others that caused 2 trillion in damages and took over 345 lives... When you paint with BROAD BRUSH, you must be careful you do not paint yourself into a corner you can't get out of...

Should we call you a Traitor to the United States for the insurrection you approved of all summer long?

"We have in our archives a handful of posts about media types (e.g., Don Lemon, Joy Behar) explaining Antifa — Antifa, they say, literally stands for “anti-fascist,” so obviously they’re on the streets fighting fascism. It’s right there in the name!

Brit Hume highlighted a great piece by Lance Morrow in the Wall Street Journal explaining that Donald Trump and his followers are the true anti-fascists. You knew it and we knew it, but it’s nice to hear someone say it. This isn’t to say that Morrow is a Trump fan … he has plenty of criticism of Trump and his followers.
But he does know what fascism really looks like."

The whole "fascist" dig is pure projection from the Left.

True,

But if everyone who read your post inferred that based on what you wrote, there's not a snowball's chance in Hell you would correct them...

But every Republican who excused their actions and refused to take action is complicit

What action do you think all other Republicans should've taken?

Impeached Trump and held him accountable
Support a bipartisan Congressional investigation of the Jan 6 attack
Refrained from making lame excuses to justify the attack and play “what aboutism”

I'm confused. Are you talking about Republican lawmakers? Because none of them attacked the Capitol.

Trump was impeached. Maybe you missed that.

Republicans did support a bipartisan Congressional investigation.

And democrats play the "what aboutism" game with the same aplomb as Republicans, so save it...
