A quick question about the shutdown.

You claimed Congress NEVER funded the wall. I proved you are a liar.

No amount of dodging will change that fact, liar.
ALL dimocraps are lying scum. EVERY.LAST.ONE.OF,THEM.

It's why I don't communicate with a single one in here other than to insult or mock them. It's all any of them are good for.

The sooner America sees what scum dimocraps are, the sooner we can start to clean up the problem. Until then, what's the point? They're not gonna change. I promise you, they won't change. Ever. They might try to convince you they've grown or 'evolved' but they're still scum. The minute they get the chance, they'll be right back to back-stabbing Americans again.

guaranteed

Keeping things "as is" would include no extension of Trump tax cuts for wealthy. Whoops. Will the GOP agree to that? Nope. They want everything and therefore need the votes for it.
Wait, what? You clowns whined and cried that the tax cuts for the rich were permanent.

Now you are changing your story.

Call your handlers and ask them to make up your mind, Simp.

Because its legal and how the senate is set up. Hostages arent. If you dont like it move to another country.
So you admit Schumer is holding the country hostage.

Got it.

Trump couldnt repeal the ACA or get the wall funding with a larger majority than he has now. He's not going to get the votes to gut healthcare with a smaller majority in my opinion. Wishing he has all the power doesnt make it so.

Biden marshalled the GOP by working with them on budgets and bills for months without calling them the enemy of democracy. He got the most consequential legislation passed in decades. Trump had zero legislative wins in 1.0. He'll get zero in 2.0. Everything he is doing will be undone. Biden and Obama's legacy legislation lives on and on.
Lies.

The Nuclear Option has never been used for Legislation.

That's what our resident dimocrap scum are talking about. dimocrap FILTH want our Senators to go against Senate precedent but are too gutless and scummy to call for their own Senators to do their ******* jobs.

dimocraps are scum. Never forget that

Yes, but again, the CR doesnt change anything. It keeps things as they are and buys them time to work on a deal.

I do agree that johnson needs to call the house back. They need to swear in Grijalva as she is the duly elected representative, and then pass the resolution to force the epstein files out. I agree with all of that.

But, were not doing anyone any favors with the government shut down. Schumer needs to just agree to the temporary CR and get people back to work.
You seem to assume that the CR cannot include other provisions than keeping things as they are. They can include policy riders, sometimes called "anomalies", that can create exemptions for existing rules i.e. the BBB rules regarding health insurance. This is why I say they should extend the subsidy by a year to get things square before November 1, and then deal with the rest later. Even republicans are starting to realize that the health insurance stuff is going to kill them back home, so buying a year gives them time to fine tune the BBB. Trump didn't even want the cuts. He took them because that is what he could get as far as passing his tax cuts.

The Medicaid standoff won't hurt R's nearly as much as dimocrap scum. No way.

The few R's it might hurt would be the Early Retirment set who have to use the joke called the ACA for Health Insurance until they reach Medicare age. And a lot of them are Veterans who never bothered signing up with the VA.

There are so few dimocrap scum veterans that they're not worth mentioning. Mostly REMFs anyway

The rest that will be hurt will be the Usual Suspects. dimocraps. Lay-abouts, the Nepo Babies, illegals, the Remittance punks.

In most States. In Florida where we never incorporated the JOKE of the ACA into our Medicaid program, it won't affect R's at all.

Dude it's well published - I used CBO numbers below where I could. Why do think reversing the cuts means adding back to the budget? Because people were getting something. So yes. Millions will lose their healthcare.
  • Work requirements: "CBO estimates that 5.3 million people will lose Medicaid coverage due to new work or "community engagement" requirements, which take effect starting January 1, 2027." Many people, even those working will lose their coverage due to the onerous reporting requirements weeding them out. States that have this saw huge reductions in covered citizens. Fulltime home caregivers will lose their health coverage - mostly low income without the ability to pay for their parents/children care.
  • Provider tax restrictions: An estimated 1.2 million people will lose Medicaid coverage due to new limits on states' ability to use taxes on health care providers to fund their Medicaid programs.
  • Other provisions: Other changes, such as more frequent eligibility redeterminations and making it harder for dually eligible Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries to retain Medicaid, are expected to cause further coverage losses around 1 million.
ACA premium tax credits
The OBBB did not extend the enhanced premium tax credits for ACA marketplace plans, which are set to expire at the end of 2025.
  • Higher premiums: Without these enhancements, premiums are expected to rise significantly in 2026. KFF estimates that for subsidized enrollees, annual premium payments could more than double, increasing by 114% on average.
  • Fewer insured people: Experts anticipate that millions of Americans will drop their marketplace coverage because they will no longer be able to afford it. The CBO estimates that 4.2 million people will become uninsured as a result of the cost increases to them.
Other factors affecting insurance coverage
Additional factors are expected to reduce insurance coverage, exacerbating the effects of the OBBB:
  • Expiration of ACA rules: New CBO estimates from September 2025 predict that nullifying specific ACA marketplace rules, including automatic re-enrollment, will cause 900,000 additional people to lose health insurance.
  • Higher costs for everyone: Insurers are citing increasing health care costs and the expiration of enhanced premium tax credits as key drivers for substantial rate hikes in 2026, which will affect even those not covered by subsidies. The median proposed premium increase for 2026 is 18% nationally.

That is the definition of NOT having the votes. Its a democracy.

dems could have voted to keep the government open, thats just a fact.

But if you feel that way, then thats fine. Next time government shuts down on dems watch, we dont need this "its republicans fault". Deal?

Nope until Thune goes nuclear it is a GOP shutdown. He has the only card that ends it and refuses to play it. Just because there would be consequences for doing so does not mean he can't do so. The democrats are playing the long game. The GOP is just too dumb to see it.
You saying it doesn't absolve Schumer of his responsibility.

1. Who refused to allow a vote? Hint, NOT Republicans.
2. Who can allow a vote right now, no questions asked? Hint, NOT Republicans.

There's who is responsible for the Schumer Shutdown.

It was a clean CR, no additives.

And im very well you'd love to have a year extension on the provisions. I know thats interesting to you because you hope the dems win the mid terms. You only want capitulation.

If dems were REALLY interested in keeping government open, they would have signed the clean CR

You assume repubs want to gut healthcare. The only argument ive seen is, they dont want taxpayer money paying for Healthcare for illegals.

The dems aren't interested in keeping the government open---they are interested in not letting the GOP bankrupt poor and working class people. The dems put forth CR's. The GOP voted no. See how fun that is. The Trump/GOP is addicted to shutting the government down when they are in power. It makes them old peckers stand up I guess.

The 13M people who would lose healthcare includes exactly ZERO "illegals". About 10% of them are legal asylum seekers that you might want to complain about but ZERO are here illegally. 12M are US citizens. That is gutting healthcare fore the most struggling citizens.

Still waiting on your evidence showing 13 million losing healthcare.

Must be where you are hiding the names of the millions who died because money was cut from USAID.

This is what I mean about dimocrap scum. ALL of them.

They just simply lie. About everything. It's pathological with them. They are scum.

They could just as easilyhave said, "Yeah, we're not allowing a vote because we believe strongly in --" This, That, or The Other.

Then we could have a debate about it. A stand-up, straight-up debate. Win, lose or draw. A debate.

But, nope. dimocraps are such FILTH, such scum, they choose to lie -- About everything.

People, I shit you not -- dimocraps are the scum of the Earth, There is no point trying to talk to them, you can't compromise with them because they lie about everything, you can't make a deal with them because -- They lie about everything.

dimocraps MUST be removed from power. Permanently and irrevocably. We need to make the Party Illegal. Like we did with the NSDAP (for you dimocrap scum, that would be 'Nazi'). We even made it illegal to sing Horst Wessel (the National Socialist Anthem)

Which is my 2nd choice in what to do with them. But it will have to do for now.

It isn't just one or two of them. Not just the heads of the Party. With dimocrap scum it isn't just a certain branch, a certain Level........ Elected, National, Local...

It's every ******* one of them. Lying scum.

And the voters are the worst of the lot.

Scum. Through and through and out

No you're not.

Because the GOP refused to work on it in the 7 months since the last time. I don't expect anything. I proposed a path forward that should be acceptable to both sides if they were actually reasonable. I don't care if the shutdown lasts until the midterms. By refusing to negotiate, the GOP has to go nuclear or keep the government closed. 100% their choice.

They worked on the BBB before President Trump took office, so they say. Why work on a CR....continue Obiden spending 2 more months. Oh lookey here, it's the end of the world! sayeth the Board Stain.

Because what we have involves a lot of people's health insurance premiums skyrocketing. Johnson has sent the House home and refuses to allow them to do anything even though the Senate still meets. I am starting to think his name must be in the Epstein files the way he is doing anything he can to keep from seating the new member.

Prove it. Not a bunch of Congressional spin and lies lumping Ilegals in to about 100,000 real Americans buying Obamma Care at $700 per person right now.
