Help me out with this. Progressives believe that everyone should be on government assistance, and that there should be no middle class. You have only poor people and filthy rich politicians. Then there is this mythical rich person who they can tap to put everybody on government aid. If you want to succeed without sucking up other people's tax money, you are a dangerous Nazi or Trumper who needs to be rounded up and put in camps as enemies of the state. Doesn't this sum up progressives ideology?
