A Few Ways Trump's Policies Made the Coronavirus Epidemic Worse

As the highly infectious coronavirus jumped from country after country in January and February, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lost valuable weeks that could have been used to track its possible spread in the United States because it insisted upon devising its own test. The federal agency (which Trump is ultimately in charge of) shunned the World Health Organization test guidelines used by other countries and set out to create a more complicated test of its own. Meanwhile, in the 1990s, we cut taxes and spending, and things were much better then than they are now....
Well, we had a competent President in the '90s who staffed his administration with reliable competent people.

Yet the Swine flu killed 4,000 Americans and the death toll on this outbreak was 28 by this morning? Reliable and competent? Not so much...

Trump actually said he did not want to bring the cruise ship passengers here because the 21 positive cases would raise the number of coronavirus cases in the US!

Like a DA who doesn't want to try a difficult murder case because it would ruin his conviction rate.

"Just let them die!"

You progressives are walking yourselves out onto another limb with saw in hand, G5000! Trump will handle this problem better than Obama handled the Swine flu because he gets things done. Then we'll compare how the two handled respective problems and Trump will come out looking like a star again! Don't you get tired of making a fool of yourself with this same thing...over and over again?
I will be quite happy to compare how Obama and Trump handled their respective "problems." I have no doubt about who will look like an incompetent moron.

Trump thinks denial and blaming the media is the answer.

What are the numbers again?...if this thing is as bad and highly contagious as you are claiming then I think the number of cases is astoundingly low, in fact I have never seen a deadly virus with numbers this low in my life...kudos to whoever is responsible

You appear to be frightened of them, Bruce! Let's hear some facts on what Barack Obama did to prevent the spread of Swine flu that Donald Trump hasn't done with the Corona virus! I'm dying to hear from you.

*sigh* OK:

Obama did NOT shut down the office that was preparing for a pandemic.

Obama did NOT implement immigration and health care policies that made immigrants afraid to seek health care when they're sick.

Obama did NOT reward underlings who tell him what he wants to hear, while he shuns those who deliver bad news.

All Trumpers have to respond to this thread is either deflection or the personal insult because every word of the OP is true and they are helpless to refute it.

Anyone attempting to use the Coronvirus as a political weapon right now aren't worth a damn, IMO....if ever there is /was a time for the country to come together it is during such an emergency....but all some seem to do is hang around like carcass-eating buzzards, hoping for death, destruction, collapse, misery, and failure with which to divisively use against a political ally

Again, IMHO....

I was responding to the poster who said the 1990s were much better than they are now, and by the way, swine flu was in 2009, not the 1990s.

Yeah, I know what TDS means. Ha, ha. Everything in my original post was factual, unlike most of Trump's proclamations.

Tell me what Barack Obama did during the Swine flu pandemic that killed 4,000 Americans that was superior to what Donald Trump has done during the Corona flu outbreak that has killed 28 Americans as of this morning? I'd be curious to hear your spin of that, Bruce! :)
Did Obama do ANY of the things that Trump has done?

Obviously not or so many wouldnt have died due to the swine flu.

Well, we had a competent President in the '90s who staffed his administration with reliable competent people.

"reliable competent people" include

1. Webster Hubbell - this two time jailbird felon was #3 at Clinton's DOJ and told the FBI to "fuck off" when they arrived at Ft Marcy Park to look into Vince Foster's "death." Hubbell of course is the bio daddy of Chelsea Clinton and a partner at the crooked Rose Law Firm
2. Henry Cisneros - this affirmative action pick as Housing Secretary was quickly busted for stealing and lying and booted
3. Jocelyn Elders - another affirmative action pick as Surgeon General was fired for teaching kids about masturbating
4. Jerry Parks - the chief of Clinton campaign security 1992 was found dead on the side of the highway in Arkansas, clearly murdered by an Arkansas State Trooper, for insisting the Clinton campaign pay him the final $80k of what he was due

When Democrats use the words "integrity, competence, corruption" and try to use people like Bill Clinton and Low IQ Joe as their "solutions" to those issues, it is as funny as it is sick....
