How did I do?

It has to do with liberal guilt.

• GUILT because the White European Colonial settlers gave thanksgiving and CELEBRATED their conquest of a new world instead of apologizing for it.
• GUILT because the natives and colonists met together in harmony and acceptance rather than reparations and recalcitrance.
• GUILT because the settlers treated the environment as a bounty to be enjoyed and exploited for mankind's pleasure and reward: animals, fish, game, etc., instead of opening up an EPA to protect and restrict it as off limits.
• GUILT because by its very nature, Thanksgiving suggests America is good and working as is, rather than a failure needing fundamental changes! And most of all
• GUILT because they fear most that those giving the most thanks are the rich and successful, which triggers their animus over the fact that not all people are born equally able to give the same thanks for the same rewards!

Why in the world of blue **** would we need eight different words for the same thing? What you have there is some political philosophies, a side of the political "spectrum", a political party, an economic system and a sociopolitical movement that came and went a hundred years ago. That you can't tell them apart is YOUR failure.

The reason why there are so many ways to describe a lefty is because lefties have hijacked all these terms at some point in order to pass themselves off as something better than the commies that they are. Sometimes they show up as Republicans like Romney, McCain, and Paul Ryan, but sometimes they call themselves libertarians. The more honest commies are the ones who admit to being socialists, progressives, or democrats. I have less against you as a commie than I have against commies who try to present themselves as conservatives.
