Speaking with a Fox News host, Johnson was asked about MTG’s recent complaints that the Johnson is refusing to share any details about the Republican plan to deal with the looming healthcare crisis that they themselves are engineering by refusing to extend the Obamacare subsidies at the heart of the government shutdown.
“Where is the Republican plan? She says, Johnson said he's got ideas and pages of policy ideas and committees of jurisdiction are working on it. But he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference on our own conference call,” asked the Fox host.
Johnson tried to argue that they can’t share the super-secret Republican healthcare plan because…his own members will leak it to the media.
“Yeah, I don't know what to say about that. I mean, that's absurd. Obviously, we're not going to be on a conference call explaining all of our plans and strategies for health care reform because they're leaked in real time. Literally, when I have a conference call with all my members, it's tweeted out by journalists. They're supposed to be private, but they're not. And so Marjorie knows that,” whined Johnson.
"She knows she can come into my office any day at any hour and I'll lay out everything for her. The committees of jurisdiction, the people who specialize in all of this, have been working on this around the clock for a long time. In fact, we published 60 or 70 pages of health care reform ideas in 2019 when I was the chair of the Republican Study Committee, the largest caucus in Congress."

The fact of the matter is that the Republican Party has had over a DECADE to come up with a plan to replace Obamacare and solve the healthcare crisis in America, and they haven’t, because they don’t care!

How so? As soon as the Democrats sign off, the government reopens and the EBT cards will be loaded.

And besides, with all that food stamp money, I’m sure people on government handouts put a loaf of bread, a package of chicken, ground beef, and some milk in the freezer, along with a box of cereal and some spaghetti and pasta sauce in the pantry,. (It’s something prudent people would do, knowing they depend on government support which could be cut off at any time.) That, plus food banks, can get them through the next couple of weeks.

How many homeless are you housing? How many hungry are you feeding? Those activities are not the responsibility of the US gov't nor of the American taxpayer. I keep at least a month’s food in my pantry and freezer. Probably twice that if I cut the meat ration in half.

Hey, I don't know what is allowed or not allowed to buy if using an EBT card.

I support this SNAP, but what can they buy with it, and what can't they buy with it.

I just want your opinion/knowledge.

Who can provide the information about what is allowed to purchase?

In My Opinion, SNAP purchases should be
limited to 'certain' products.

Acceptable items. I'm sure to miss a few very acceptable items.....So name the acceptable ones I missed.

1). Canned, bagged or fresh vegetables, nuts and fruits.
2). Canned or Bottled...... Beans, Chicken, Condiments.
3). Dairy Products..... too many to list, but all are acceptable.
4). Bread Products.......too many to list, but all are acceptable.
5). Protein..... like Jerky, Fish, Pork.
6). Tofu.....yuck, but sure.

NO to the following, I'm sure to miss a few, so once again, feel free to add to the list.

7). Steak, because I don't even buy Filets or Wagyu or Kobe. Flank Steak, Chuck, or Roast, OK.
8). Age restricted items, like tobacco and alcohol.
9). Candy and Chips.
10). Hardware, well everyone needs tools, but NOT on EBT.

If Costco can limit my 2% cash back to certain items, why can't EBT do the same thing with purchases?
