New ALL-TIME RECORD trade deficit with China. Nobody is doing one thing, about this.

United States Census ^
Well December data is out now. America has set YET ANOTHER trade deficit in 2014 with China. By far the worst yet... Last year 342,632,500. Up from 318,711,300 last year (which was also a new record).

Union Membership Rate Falls to 100-Year Low

Daily Signal ^
New information from the federal government suggests workers’ interest in unions continues to fall, with union membership reaching its lowest rate in 100 years. According to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics today, the union membership rate fell to 11.1 percent, with just 14.6 million wage and salaried workers maintaining membership. In 2013, the union membership rate was 0.2 percentage points higher, at 11.3 percent. The rate of union membership has been on a steady decline over the past three decades. It grew slightly from 12.1 percent in 2007 to 12.4 percent in 2008. During President Obama’s first...

ALERT: One-fourth of 2014 US Production Increase Went into Storage

Oil Pro ^
An interesting conclusion can be drawn from the numbers presented by the EIA this week. It appears that only three fourths of the increase in production of crude and natural gas liquids produced by the US industry last year were actually consumed. More than a fourth of this production had to be sent to storage because it could not be sold into the market. Here are the numbers: Crude Production up 1.1 MMB/D, NGL Production up 0.4 MMB/D, Inventory Build 0.4 MMB/D, or 27% of total production increase. The fact that all of the increased production did not find a...

Siemens to Cut 7,800 Jobs

Wall Street Journal ^
Siemens AG on Friday said it would cut more than 2% of its workforce around the world as part of an aggressive plan to overhaul the business. The company will trim 7,800 jobs globally, of which 3,300 are expected in Germany, after the management and labor council met Thursday. The job cuts will be mainly among administrative and overhead employees, Siemens said. The staff reductions, which will be completed within two years, will cost Siemens in mid- to high-three-digit range in millions of euros, a person familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal. The cost includes previously announced...

Obama's student loan program is $22 billion in the hole, and college ain't any cheaper

Investor's Business Daily ^
Debt: Having spent years chastising bankers for making risky loans, President Obama is now responsible for a $22 billion shortfall in the student loan program. Guess it´s not risky to gamble with other people´s money.

Anyone can make a poster. You mean to say you copied and pasted a poster without fact checking it?

Link?

Of course, it's the subversive way of doing things! YOU have so many other things I'm posting, go check it yourself, than you can check the rest of the "NEWS"

RadioShack Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy After Striking Deal to Sell Some Stores (Sprint)

The New York Times' DealBook ^
For years, RadioShack — the retailer that helped bring personal computers to the masses — outlasted untold predictions that it would buckle in the face of bigger rivals and online competitors. But its clock has finally run out. RadioShack, a long-ailing 94-year-old electronics chain, filed for bankruptcy protection on Thursday after striking a deal to sell up to 2,400 of its stores to the wireless service provider Sprint and a hedge fund that is its biggest shareholder. The Chapter 11 filing, made in federal bankruptcy court in Delaware, took few unaware. RadioShack had not turned a profit since 2011, and...

That's because a new arena was built in Newark to house the Devils and another arena built in Brooklyn to house the Nets. So two arenas were built and staffed while one was closed. Sounds like a net gain.

Weatherford to cut 5,000 jobs as it fights oil slump

CNBC / Reuters ^
Weatherford International plans to cut 5,000 jobs, or about 9 percent of its workforce, by the end of the first quarter as the oil services company tries to save costs amid sinking oil prices and budget cuts. The job cuts will focus on both operating and support positions and a majority of the reductions will be in the Western Hemisphere, the company said in a statement. Weatherford, which currently employs about 56,000 people across the world, expects the job cuts to result in annualized savings of over $350 million. "Due to the quickly changing market conditions, we are aligning and...
