Notices go out to more than 1,700 Izod Center workers that they'll lose jobs (New Jersey)

Fox Business News / The Associated Press ^
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Notices have gone out to more than 1,700 Izod Center workers that they'll lose their jobs by the end of March because the arena is closing. Almost all of the employees are part-time. The Record (Pink slips going out to 1 700 as Izod Center prepares to close - News - NorthJersey.com ) reports the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority says the layoffs include 618 stagehands, 263 security guards, 169 admissions workers, 116 trades workers, 66 box office employees, and 50 parking attendants....
That's because a new arena was built in Newark to house the Devils and another arena built in Brooklyn to house the Nets. So two arenas were built and staffed while one was closed. Sounds like a net gain.

Employed already accounted for EXCEPT those losing their jobs...but even a dimwit like yourself knew that! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

After 2 SUPPOSED historic months of jobs growth, Illinois still lagging

Illinois Policy ^ | February 3 2015 | Michael Lucci
Illinois still lays claim to the worst recession recovery in the nation. According to the BLS household survey, there are still 216,000 fewer Illinoisans working than when the Great Recession began, the worst of any state and one of only 22 states that still have fewer people working than when the recession started. .... The business-establishment survey for the 2008-2014 period shows 114,000 fewer payroll jobs in Illinois than when the recession began, the second-worst record of any state, and one of only 15 states yet to break even on the recession. Only New Jersey is down more payroll jobs....

You do realize that the BLS data are net changes, right? So they are taking into account any layoffs but also adding in all of the job gains. You're just wasting your time with all of your idiotic posts.

What do you think he googled in preparation for this thread? Here's my guess:

Google: "conservative tips for discussing the improved economy"

Jobs are up. Labor force participation is up. Wages are up.

But somewhere out there we can find some bad news to throw up as a smokescreen, by golly!

The unemployment rate has ticked up because more of the people who dropped out of the workforce and stopped looking for jobs have started again.
Correct. That's because the economy is getting better and companies are hiring.
Yes I know that just as I knew the economy was not improving when the unemployment rate was dropping as a result of people dropping out of the workforce.
