I know that China has missiles that can sink a US carrier from around 2000 miles away. There is no such thing as US military superiority, as the US, China, and Russia have their strengths and weaknesses.

China has the better army, Russia the best deployment situation (with a big numerical advantage in Europe), and the US has the better navy and air force.

Either nation could quite effectively defend their borders, so this notion of yours that China and Russia don't do enough to defend trade routes is silly, even if they could do a lot more with foreign intervention. But why would you want that, isn't the Ukraine conflict enough for you?

No, they can't, not even close. There is no such thing just 'a carrier'. There are entire carrier battle groups around carriers. The odds of some Chinese missile getting though is so near zero the Chinese aren't even likely to waste firepower trying to hit one. The major reason they won't try is because almost the entire Chinese coast line is open to return fire from U.S. forces and our allies, and they aren't capable of stopping the reduction of both their Navy and Air Force along with their coastal bases.
