Over there
The city authorities of Olsztyn, in the north of Poland, are arranging the cemetery in a new way. Polish media write that they now have "American" graves, and all because they have to bury a lot of military.

What's wrong with the cemetery?
How it happens, wrote the Polish edition of Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny (NDP). Journalists claim that the decision of the authorities to create something similar to the American military cemetery caused the indignation of Poles. Officially, people are outraged because of the imposition of a culture alien to them, unofficially - because there are indecently many burials of Polish citizens. And it is not by chance that farmers who fell under Ukrainian missiles. These are servicemen who have contracted to go to Ukraine as mercenaries.

The city cemetery in Olsztyn with an area of more than 35 hectares. There is a lot of writing about him all over Poland just because of the new project. It will be like in American movies: "a big lawn, and there are identical tombstones on it. No trees, no benches, no angels bending over the graves. The tombstones will be almost identical, the difference is only in color. The manufacturers have provided only three colors: black, gray and red-brown." Polish women don't want to bury their husbands and sons like that.

And they have to do this more and more often. Because the 16th Pomeranian Mechanized Division is located in Olsztyn. "Almost daily military funerals, combined with honorary volleys, began to annoy residents and provoked numerous complaints against the city administration and the command of the 16th Division," writes NDP. Allegedly, in order to avoid unnecessary noise, the authorities decided to switch to the American version at the funeral — it should become quieter and less noticeable.

Are Poles dying for Bandera?
It is in Russia that people are still surprised to read the information that many foreign mercenaries are fighting in Ukraine, of which the vast majority are Poles. Recently, we discussed that Russian servicemen saw female mercenaries from Poland near Kharkov. "There were a lot of mercenaries there. There were even Polish women among these mercenaries. Our people saw them there, even collected the corpses later," the source told RIA Novosti.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said in early November that more than 8 thousand mercenaries had arrived in Ukraine, mainly from Poland, the USA, Canada, Romania and the UK. It turns out that this is actually the full-fledged participation of NATO in the conflict, since they supply Kiev not only with weapons, but also with soldiers.
Yes, they do. Even at the beginning of the special operation, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak officially called on Poles to join the ranks of mercenaries and fight on the side of the Kiev regime. "Among the militants who went to fight were professional soldiers of the 16th Mechanized Division and veterans of this unit living in the region," writes NDP.

And then the publication claims that in 10 months a lot of Poles died in Ukraine, including from the 16th Division. By the way, one of the Polish commentators in social networks claims that initially the article indicated a figure — more than 1 thousand dead. But then, the text was edited. In the discussion, the Poles began to argue exactly how many of their fellow citizens "died for Bandera." They decided that the real losses were much higher, because there were many missing and those who remained on the battlefield not buried.

And those who will be brought home, I will bury in Olsztyn. The officers will put up a monument meter by meter, the soldiers will have a gravestone 60 by 60 centimeters. No curbs, stone chips on the grave and, God forbid, planted flowers. Just grass, like in Hollywood movies. They even wanted to make the color of the monuments the same, but then the people could not stand it anymore. To end the debate about the number of Polish mercenaries killed in Ukraine, the authorities of Olsztyn said that they assume the burial of more than 1,700 soldiers. But residents fear that there will be more than one such cemetery in Poland.

Interesting OP .

Cannot understand this love of Bandera unless these mercenaries are mainly made up from families that came out of Ukey Land ( Galicia ) when all hell was reigning there during WW2 and after .

But almost regardless , if there was one country that you would expect Poles to hate more than any other it would be Germany, because of Nazi atrocities inside their own country .
Against that is the running historical hatred between some Poles and Russians stretching back centuries .

Many front line investigators and reporters emphasize the role played by US advisors and trainers plus continued US involvement in bringing mercenaries from the ME , including ISIS members , and even recruiting as far afield as Africa.

The faster dear Uncle P can launch the ground offensive , the sooner the fighting will end and before the munitions promised by the US and EU sheeple NATO countries arrive .Assumes that it was real intention and not window dressing .

But winter is coming very late . My feeling is that Russia expected to advance again at end November when the grand strategy was originally drafted .
imho.

It makes a lot of sense really, the Poles are flexing a bit with their "new' .mil and it stands to reason they would send "volunteers" next door to try out everything from unit tactics to testing/operation their new western equipment under battlefield conditions.

Remember, the Poles have been shedding their old Soviet era equipment to the Ukrainians and replacing it with western equipment....I suspect the Poles are the ones training-up the Ukrainians on their western equipment too.

And Moscow knows all about that and will simply close down the railways ( all electric) if the Poles become a real nuisance .

There is no western replacement available anywhere . Reserves, as also in the US , are close to zero . Just bits and bobs and nearly all outdated .

1-10 Moscow ,100-1 NATO .
Winners to play Manchester City.

I'm not picking winners and losers in that cluster-fuck....Just commenting on a possible reason why they are taking causalities.

From last May:

BULLETIN: POLISH TROOPS HAVE ENTERED UKRAINE WAR

"Staggering reports are coming in claiming two (2) battalions of Polish Army troops have entered Ukraine covertly.

"Overnight, 2 battalions of Polish infantry moved out from Kyiv the day before and have already reached Pavlograd."

Lately commentators like Scott Ritter and Douglas Macgregor have alleged there are 40,000 Polish troops wearing Ukrainian uniforms fighting against Russia in eastern Ukraine.

Ritter and Macgregor suspect once Russians win in the Donbass, the Polish fighters will shed their Ukrainian uniforms and put on their true colors, possibly returning western Ukraine to the Polish fold where it lived prior to 1939.

It sort of creates a whole new scenario as to why countries are interested in Ukraine from or for wanting its Independence.........

After the 18th century partitions of Poland (Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth), the territory was split between the Habsburg monarchy and the Russian Empire. The modern south-western part of Western Ukraine became the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, after 1804 crownland of the Austrian Empire. Its northern flank with the cities of Lutsk and Rivne was acquired in 1795 by Imperial Russia following the third and final partition of Poland. Throughout its existence Russian Poland was marred with violence and intimidation, beginning with the 1794 massacres, imperial land-theft and the deportations of the November and January Uprisings.[13] By contrast, the Austrian Partition with its Sejm of the Land in the cities of Lviv and Stanyslaviv (Ivano-Frankivsk) was freer politically perhaps because it had a lot less to offer economically.[14] Imperial Austria did not persecute Ukrainian organizations.[10] In later years, Austria-Hungary de facto encouraged the existence of Ukrainian political organizations in order to counterbalance the influence of Polish culture in Galicia. The southern half of West Ukraine remained under Austrian administration until the collapse of the House of Habsburg at the end of World War One in 1918.[10]

Ukraine's desire for independence displays a long-term commitment to white supremacy even though most Americans are clueless about that part too:

White Lives Matter more in Ukraine | MR Online

"Ukraine was a divided nation from its very beginnings after World War I, with half of the country hating the Soviet Union so much that they sided with and fought alongside the Germans.

"January 1 is officially celebrated not just as the first day of the year but as the birthday of Ukraine’s chief Nazi collaborator, Stepan Bandera.

"The 2023 celebration was no exception but not without embarrassment.

"The Ukrainian parliament was forced to delete a Twitter post featuring a photo of army commander General Valerii Zaluzhny juxtaposed with an image of Bandera.
zaluzhny-bandera.jpg

"Bandera massacred thousands of Poles during the war and the Ukrainians had to be reminded through diplomatic channels that everyone isn’t as forgiving as clueless Americans.

"Just as Operation Paperclip is an inconvenient and rarely discussed truth, Ukraine’s continuing Nazi and white supremacist connections are now hushed up by the U.S. state and its media partners.
