and it was true, why do you think there is no longer a textile industry in the USA? Answer: the textile workers union.
Once our government in cohoots with business owners/CEO's opened the escape hatch for our companies to go full speed ahead with seeking out global workforces in communist or any other countries that were willing to provide slave labor for a fee, is when the end of American exceptionalism began, and the clock began to tick away our sovereignty, our individualism, our freedom's, our strength, our middle class, our work forces, and our job's.
We see the results of it all years later, and we see the huge effort to cover it all up now.
Then Trump came along with his make America great again mantra, and his talk about all the factories that have been idled here, and how they have since become a huge eye sore to all American's, and how it is proof of a failed greed ridden marketing strategy.... It also serves as an example or proof to the negative fall out we've experienced here in result of it all.

A national minimum wage in a country with more than 3000 counties all with different cost of living is a historically stupid idea.
I think they should have a minimum wage of a buck an hour in red states so they can put their lack of buck where the hungry mouths are.
And in Blue states pay $15 an hour like they're doing already since they produce the jobs and economic activity.

Bottom line is that republic pols in the 80s and 90s pushed outsourcing.
Trump has done very little to alter global economic trade. He has slapped tariffs on imports to make Americans pay more.

Very true. And both parties are fighting him. Americans elected Republicans to the Presidency and gave them control of the Congress time and time again since 1980. And still we found our country pulled ever leftward towards socialism and third worldism.
