I was just raised right. I said earlier in this thread that the last time I can remember saying 'N*gger' was when I was about 5 or 6 and my mom spanked me good and hard for it. Our neighbors used the term but my parents were not going to allow their kids to use such trash talk.

Similar experience. One day one of us, can't remember which one, repeated the term he or she had heard in the neighborhood and my mother, who grew up in southern Mississippi, corralled her entire litter together and laid down the law that she would never hear it from any of us ever again. And she never did.
