Wild Alaska Live

My dog and I watched Wild Alaska Live last night on PBS. About half way through the episode a very large Black Bear was being remotely recorded when s/he charged toward the camera. Our dog was watching the bear and when it turned and ran toward the camera it appeared to be coming right at us.

She turned and bolted. I told her it's okay, and stopped and used the playback function. After she saw the bear no longer in motion I told her to watch the big bear. This time she stood her ground, and after I did this again she turned away and took a nap.

The show is well worth watching if one likes to see Wild Life in their natural habitat.

That's a given. She's a border collie / aussie cattle dog mix, very fast, very smart and breed to herd larger animals than herself.

I've always marveled at the work of herd dogs. Very smart and on the ball.
