Kinda like blatantly lying about the Obama camp's suit against Ohio, right?

I did not read much of anything on it...

But yeah, the rabid wingers on the right do the same thing.. big example, the birthers

Does not excuse the actions nor give a free pass to volley back in the same way

Alright, just wanna make sure you're not saying your side's shit doesn't stink in this.

My 'side'?? I rarely defend a winger on any side.. Nor, unlike ones like rdummy wrongwinger etc, do I inherently think that the party I am registered for (to vote in primaries in my state) is flawless

It looks shady?? Why?? The IRS has investigated him? There is any hint of impropriety beyond one 'anonymous' source claimed by a despicable politician?? The history of releasing personal information about taxes is what? You know how many McCain put out? Reagan??

Do you not see that this is pure distraction and poo flinging meant to put the focus on material that can only advance class warfare??

Now... if you want to talk about FULL VETTING, make a standard and put it ALL out there. Every public and/or private piece of history. Tax returns, employment reviews, medical history, educational history, police reports, EVERYTHING.... But no, this is SPECIFICALLY targeted to the flavor of the moment attack based on class warfare....

Either have a law of full vetting, or don't..

Personally I don't give a shit about tax returns, or college papers, or if the person sought counseling for emotional issues with divorce, or if they had a cancerous mole removed, or if they own 14 pieces of property in 5 different countries, or whatever along those lines...

Why does it look shady? Because people have asked for it from both sides and he refuses. That's why it looks shady....You know that. There isnt a standard to put it "all out there" whatever that means...but there is a standard that even Mitt father stood behind...Mitt cant demonize his daddy...and people from both sides have encouraged him to release it. You cant make this about Harry Reid when the support for him releasing has come from both sides....Mitt cant demonize both sides.

You can pretend that it doesnt look bad, or that people dont care...but you have to play that game with yourself because no one else believes that. Independents wont believe that and whether you "care" or not has nothing to do with how it looks....and it doesnt look good.

Here is how Thinkprogress put it:

The Romney campaign says he has released as many returns as candidate John Kerry did in 2004, and cites Teresa Heinz Kerry’s refusal to release any of her tax returns. Neither is an apt comparison. John Kerry actually released returns from 1999 through 2003, and also released tax returns during his Senate runs. As for Teresa Heinz, Romney isn’t the wealthy spouse of a candidate, but the candidate himself. In 2008, John McCain released two years of returns, but he had been filling out financial disclosure forms for decades as a senator. Romney protests that he is not legally obliged to release any tax returns. Of course not. He is no longer in the realm of the private sector, though, where he can comply with the letter of the law with the Securities and Exchange Commission and leave it at that. Perceptions matter.

Romney may feel impatience with requirements that the political culture imposes on a presidential candidate that he feels are pointless (and inconvenient). But he’s a politician running for the highest office in the land, and his current posture is probably unsustainable. In all likelihood, he won’t be able to maintain a position that looks secretive and is a departure from campaign conventions. The only question is whether he releases more returns now, or later — after playing more defense on the issue and sustaining more hits. There will surely be a press feeding frenzy over new returns, but better to weather it in the middle of July.

If he releases more returns, Romney will be in a better position to resist the inevitable demands for even more disclosures. More important, he will be in a better position to pivot his campaign to what should be its focus — telling a story, through a series of detailed, substantive speeches, about where he wants to take the country.

You can argue about how perceptions dont matter..or whatever...but you know, like I know...it matters

I will listen to the opinion of stinkprogress about the same time as you listen to the opinion of Rush

Most people do NOT care.. most who bark are the rabid left who are not going to vote for Romney anyway... and their barking leads to the news barking...

BUT... as stated, there is no REQUIREMENT for this and candidates have put 1 or 2 returns out public before.. and it was NO big deal... Why is it a big deal now to the rabid left?? BECAUSE IT IS A PLOY OF CLASS WARFARE AGAINST A RICH CANDIDATE, in a time where the incumbent DEM prez has a weak position in action, history, and with the current state of the country... it IS distraction and nothing more than poo flinging

Oh I'm sorry Dave....Did I say Thinkprogress? I meant "The National Review"

Release the Returns - The Editors - National Review Online

I guess you're going to say "the day you listen to The National Review about the same time as I listen to The National Review" Thats what happens when you try to dismiss news because of the source.

The National Review wrote that...Are you demonizing them? Republicans tell him he should too...Where's your outrage? Cant find it?

Like I said....You cant demonize everyone on all sides. You can try but it makes you look...well....the way you look right now. Foolish.

You forgot to add the poll option; "OP is a moron."

I pick that one.

I was right about to put "Predfan loves the cock" as an option, but left it out at the last second, should have left it there, it would likely be leading the poll by a long shot

You sure seem to like tea bagging and cock sucking, you can't stop talking about it. But hey, whatever floats your boat...........

Obviously, he has something to hide, something that he feels embarrassed about, I would speculate.

romney's father said it best, showing one year could be a fluke and not show the whole picture regarding the candidate.

He could have easily shown us 2 years immediately, the 2010 return and the 2009 return....but he chose to keep the 2009 return a secret and chose to make 2011 the 2nd return when he was not even DONE with his 2011 taxes yet and still has not released them to us....

Something is in 2009 that he absolutely can NOT let us know about, is how I see it and other Republicans like Gingrich and Bachman and Santorum see it...

Well care, my guess is that he has highly paid accountants who have taken advantage of every LEGAL loophole allowable. Most of us would do the exact same thing, but most of us are not that rich, so we can jump up and down and scream "That's not fair!".

We have a small business and our tax forms are prepared by our accountant. I couldn't explain half of what they say. We could be breaking the law without a clue.

We also have a financial planner who handles our investments. I couldn't explain half of what they say. We could be investing in some objectionable company without a clue.

This may sound like a naive question, but could it be possible that someone in the Obama camp has already seen them? Didn't that happen with Joe Plumber?

Frankly I don't think Romney has anything to gain. Political pundits who don't know jack about accounting will be spinning every line item. Truth is irrelevant in this campaign.

A rogue employee broke the law and released information about Joe the Plumber....and went to jail for it, I believe.

so no, there is no chance someone else at IRS is going to leak this private information Chanel, no chance in heaven or hell for that to occur imo.
