I don't believe that repubs hate Romney as much as they don't want the media and the pundits picking their candidates, so they're grasping desperately at anyone and everyone who isn't him (except, of course, Ron Paul).

Problem being that the only two remaining "alternatives" (which really aren't) are a loathsome phoney and a broom-up-the-ass holy roller prig.

Interesting dilemma.
