Why does the right defend the wealthy class

What a dumb conversation.

Why does the Dems buy Unions with tax payer money?

Why do the Dems buy the poor with welfare?

Why Do Dems buy corporations with crony Capitalism?

Why do Dems give money to foreign governments?

To know the answer, read "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli, "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu, and "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Ailinsky.

Plus, have a working understanding of World History especially concerning the Rise and Fall of the Western Roman Empire.

Liberals/Socialists/Progressives/Communists hate both the middle class and the working class because...

they HATE the "wealthy class".

Go back to school you stupid fuck. :slap:

If you look at my posting history...that isn't me.

I am not a progressive.

But the article raises an issue I've had for a long time. The wealthy class link up with the governing class and together they screw us.

There is tons of money in D.C. It's a huge rapefest.

And you don't solve it by giving the government more money in taxes...since the very people you are saying rape the system are the ones getting all that extra money...right? So why would you want those people you just said are raping the system to get even more money to continue raping the system. We need to cut tax revenue to those guys, not increase it.

I would agree.

First, I think there needs to be an open discussion of what we spend our tax dollars on.

But, from there, there needs to be close scrutiny of how this money makes it's way "back into the system". When we pay for infrastructure, who gets those bids ? Big companies with high paid CEO's. Essentially, more wealth distribution back into the hands of the rich.

The contracts and legal issues don't allow small guys to play. The deck is already stacked in the favor of the rich.

Get off the thread.

Don't post here anymore.

You are left wing propaganda hack.

My reason in defending the wealthy class is the belief that private citizens having wealth can provide more good for others than that available through bureaucratic government programs.
Of course, but our middle class has been crushed by Reaganist tax rates and policy (- see Trump and all Dems). Defended to the death by greedy idiot megarich Pubs and their silly dupes. Infrastructure jobs and training for 3-4 million tech jobs going begging would need some gov't activity.

This is a classic example of what I brought up in the OP.

Your whiny ass will accomplish nothing without the buy-in of conservatives. And what you say isn't all true.

Democrats in congress are just as greedy as the republicans. Clinton is a moneymonger.

You have no clue. You can't get past that government isn't pure.

Shut up.

BS. Have you ever read a newspaper? LOL RW functional idiot. Tax/wealth inequality is so bad only total dupes don't get it.

Why don't you STFU.

You are nothing but trash. You bring nothing to the conversation.

Get off the thread asshole.

So keep voting for big money Pubs, Halliburton and the Kochs. That will surely help.

Thom Hartmann: How America Killed Its Middle Class

Not a big fan of Alternet.....but this one makes a statement I think begs a question.

Piketty is right, especially about the importance of high marginal tax rates and inheritance taxes being necessary for the creation of a middle class that includes working-class people. Progressive taxation, when done correctly, pushes wages down to working people and reduces the incentives for the very rich to pillage their companies or rip off their workers. After all, why take another billion when 91 percent of it just going to be paid in taxes?

This is the main reason why, when GM was our largest employer and our working class were also in the middle class, CEOs only took home 30 times what working people did. The top tax rate for all the time America's middle class was created was between 74 and 91 percent. Until, of course, Reagan dropped it to 28 percent and working people moved from the middle class to becoming the working poor.

False premise.

Wrong conclusion.

Look, I don't stump for anyone.

This is an issue that I've struggled with for a long long time.

I am not a left wing moron like Franco.

So if the premise is false, I invite you to point out where.

I respect your thoughts.

Who are you talking too asswipe ?

You are the kind of left wing asswipe who really brings this nation to it's knees. Because you are so caught up in thinking you know best, you have no capacity to cooperate.

Your little three line lectures help nothing.

Why don't you go visit your relatives in the U.K.....and stay.

Certainly not Pub gov't with their corrupt Wall St/crony bubbles EVERY TIME, hater dupe. What the country needs is investment in the PEOPLE and tax cuts for the nonrich?, tax hikes on the bloated rich and giant corps DUHHHHH... ASK TRUMP, stupid. Can you watch 60 Minutes or is that communistic, Pub chump?

I had a friend who tracked some property he lost in 2008 through the government recovery process. This property, worth a couple hundred thousand dollars, was bundled up (with a bunch of other properties) and sold at auction. The entire bundle required a minimum 10 million dollar bid. Those properties were estimated to sell for 15 cents on the dollar.

Who got to bid on those great deals ? Those with lots of money..

So government took my friends property and sold it to someone for 15 cents on the dollar to someone who was going to turn a profit on it pretty quick....someone who already had lots of money.

Thanks Obama.

So, as we continue to let the rich just go nuts...what is it that isn't there to prevent them.

Why does the far right vote to protect the interest of the rich ?

The answer lies, in part, in the fact that the far left is no better. First, they suck off the rich like others.

Next, they won't make a rational case. They need conservatives to join them. And yet they, like some of the assholes on this board, do nothing but antagonize them.

And the rich just eat it up......

This thread originally got moved to Europe because I led in with an article about the European middle class.

But the comparison is bright as the day is long.

I bash the left.

I bash the right.

Regardless, this is a huge issue in my mind.

Now, if the left starts squawking about how the rich screw them over...I'd ask how they get away with it. They only get away with it because the government protects them.

The right yells...hands off. But this article flies in the face of that.

Why do people like you resent wealthy people? Is it because you don't have their wealth and like a child that has all the tools to build you'd rather destroy?

Why do you people think it is UNFAIR to be wealthy?

You haven't ready what I posted you lazy good for nothing scum wad.

I essentially said the same thing...with a few exceptions.

But you are a total s&&tbag for thinking that democrats don't do the same thing.

They both suck.

I respect your posts and I usually read them to learn.

Why do you need to pollute a thread like Franco with his little left wing turd-droppings.

I never said I hate the rich.

What I have contended and what I have seen is that big government and big business sleep in the same bed and they make it hard for people to enter markets and compete for the dollars they are raking in.

I am not a fan of alternet...but I think the points are worth discussing. I'll probably take this one to the CDZ so I can get the mods to save bandwidth by keeping jackasses like Franco and David42 out.

BTW: I do have a good job and more than a few dollars stashed away. It isn't me I am worried about.
