I have never agreed with any Political Parties Platform 100%. So I have never voted straight Party. So I do my research on the cadidates as best I can and vote on the one who is most likely to be an independent and strong thinker in the office thay are running for and will make honest and reasonible choice despite Party Pressure.

Back when I was foolish enough to think that voting mattered I voted strictly R until 1990 then voted L but also R when there was no L candidate. 1992 was the last time I voted for a President. I can't remember now if I voted in the 1994 elections or if I completely gave up in 1992. I considered registering to vote back in the 2016 primaries to vote for Rand Paul, but his campaign was such a bomb that I didn't bother.

My first presidential election vote was for Richard Nixon in 1970. I've never regretted it and wish we had politicians of his caliber in the Republican party today. Young people who believe all the anti-Nixon propaganda won't get this.
