The FACTS covered in this short video makes it well worth watching. Does anyone think these laws need to be changed?

Some people are so hungry to hear something hopeful and these charlatans take advantage of them. Sad.

Of course they need to be changed. Churches were never supposed to be exempted from taxation in a republic:

"Strongly guarded as is the separation between Religion & Govt in the Constitution of the United States the danger of encroachment by Ecclesiastical Bodies, may be illustrated by precedents already furnished in their short history. ...in Kentucky for example, where it was proposed to exempt Houses of Worship from taxes."

Bob Tilton should be put behind bars. His own secretary said he never visited the sick or acted in any capacity as a Pastor (should). He's a con artist. He is not a representative of Christianity. Why adults give their money to people on television is a matter of not knowing what the Bible teaches concerning it. People perish because of lack of knowledge. There are laws that have been passed that do not permit people to be conned out of their money. What is needed is enforcement. As for these gay pride parades exploiting young children who are underage - such as this story I'm posting here? The adults involved should be arrested, put on trial and put behind bars. We're not talking about adults. We are talking about children - in this case one who is under 12 years of age!!

This is quite disturbing news. You'd have to agree, Luddly. It's about children.

Young Boy Celebrated for Dancing Provocatively at Gay Pride Parade: How Did We Get Here & Where Do We Go From Here?

"A video of a young boy dancing in a sexual manner during a gay pride event as posted on YouTube has raised concerns ranging from disgust over early sexual behaviour of children to paedophilia.

The unidentified boy, younger than 12 years, was recorded dancing with only a pair of skimpy shorts on to drag queen RuPaul's song "Sissy That Walk" at the Sao Paolo Pride Festival in Brazil while audiences cheered him on, Christian News reported.

The video, titled "this is the future you chose," was posted last week by online publication Ovenworthy.

"This kid is such an inspiration! Progressives need to work together to create a whole generation of kids like this," Ovenworthy wrote of the video.

Only viewers age 18 and up can watch the video because of its sexualised content.

Gay Star News accused those who oppose the video as "homophobes," saying the boy was only "having a great time," said Christian News, but as of this writing, the story did not contain the said allegation.

One reader reportedly commented: "I bet homophobes rather see a young boy carrying a gun. Homophobes should mind their own sex-life! Do we question their bed-activities?"

Another reader said: "In the 90's there was a popular booty-shaking dance Lambada, not much different from twerking—all the kids were dancing! This kid is just having fun, and yes, in Brazil sexuality is a lot more part of the culture than any Westerner can understand."

Others, however, were disturbed with the footage.

"I'm not a homophobe, but I find videos of prepubescent children dancing provocatively completely disgusting. I also find Gay Star news method of defence equally disgusting," said a reader."

How did we get here?

How did we get to the place where even the most liberal of us wouldn't find a smidgen of something wrong with what happened at this gay parade? In what type of warped belief system could it ever be morally permissible for a little boy to be praised for gyrating at an event celebrating homosexuality?

As you are Jewish, Agit8r, I noticed you didn't included synagogues. Are you including all places of worship or just those that do not include your own?

'you will know them by the fruit they bear'. Shit like this is a real big problem. It's what's known as "prosperity theology" and it's a total scam. There are a lot of pricks out there that engage in predatory practices and sadly they target the most vulnerable, desperate, and needy people in society. They give Christianity and religion in general a very bad name. However, it would be a mistake to try to equate these con artists as somehow representative of Christianity as a whole. Every demographic in the world has those who engage in this kind of crap no matter what topic or activity they engage in.

Kudoes to John Oliver for exposing this nefarious practice. He is doing Christianity a favor by exposing the charlatans.

You will know them by their fruit. True. The fruit of false teachers is a false gospel. The fruit of carnal Christians, false Christians is the love of this world, the love of filthy lucre, a foul mouth, filthy language, unsurrendered lives, those who reject holiness and obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ and openly display their hatred of those who live holy lives - God's servants. It is not difficult to know what is in a persons heart. Listen to what comes out of their mouth / what they write / what they talk about. It's all there.

Hmmmm....I wonder just who this is targeted at. Who could it possibly be? Well let me just say that there's nothing in the Bible that speaks against using profanity, so you can take your thinly veiled condemnation and shove it up your self-righteous ass. It does say "ass" in the Bible so you can't complain about that one.

There are so many gullible people. I would be willing to bet that the majority of Trump supporters claim to be Christian....yet they are willing to look the other way to support this charlatan, who tells them what they want to hear "The Bible is the Best Book" - but really don't listen to what he really says.

Agreed!

I think that Jeri summed him up with the phrase "the love of filthy lucre" quite succinctly! ;)

We did not have any Federal income tax until 1913.
State taxes went to keep up the buildings and grounds of Churches.

It's good that things like this are brought to the attention of the public, but the ones who really need to take a firm stand and be the loudest with calling it out are Christians themselves. If we wish to avoid the stereotypes that these con artists help create, we need to be the ones showing how actual faith works and what it is all about. When people only see the bad, they assume that's all there is.

Absolutely agree!

Failure to call out those in your own ranks who are out of line does reflect poorly on everyone else.

And yes, I applaud those that do.

TV preachers are usually charlatans.
If people would just read their bible rather than listening to the preachers on Tv and many churches they would know them to be charlatans.
