a dictator is a boss or spouse that tells you what to do. We don't like it but when is it ok to be dictated by those in power? Is sometimes ok or never ok?

A Benevolent Dictatorship, how to really get some shit done. And if that's the only way a people can be ruled, say in the Middle East or the developing world, bring it on.a dictator is a boss or spouse that tells you what to do. We don't like it but when is it ok to be dictated by those in power? Is sometimes ok or never ok?

When is it okay? When it's benevolent, AKA productive and efficient.a dictator is a boss or spouse that tells you what to do. We don't like it but when is it ok to be dictated by those in power? Is sometimes ok or never ok?
You are also a member of a dictatorship during the years you have parents........yet no one elected them, they inherited it......a dictator is a boss or spouse that tells you what to do. We don't like it but when is it ok to be dictated by those in power? Is sometimes ok or never ok?
Sounds like Heaven...With dictatorships there is no accountability. One man controls a whole country. He decides how the government is run. He decides how the courts will decide cases. He decides the country's immigration and emigration policies. He decides how people in his country will live their lives. He decides when, where, and how every company will do business. He decides whether people who disagree with him will live or die.
So when is a dictatorship ok?
Never.
From Wikipedia:
"In the Roman Republic the term "Dictator" did not have the negative meaning it has later assumed. Rather, a Dictator was a person given sole power (unlike the normal Roman republican practice, where rule was divided between two equal Consuls) for a specific limited period, in order to deal with an emergency. At the end of his term, the Dictator was supposed to hand power over to the normal Consular rule and give account of his actions – and Roman dictators usually did."
Dictatorships never work? I beg to differ.Never works.

Hold a country or organization together = work. See Tito, and many Popes.Dictatorships never work? I beg to differ.Never works.
It depends on how you define "work".
