what determines whether a person goes to heaven or not?

There is no peril in Heaven. Just overwhelming joy. It is a refuge for sinners. The entrance fee is the fervent asking for forgiveness through the blood Christ shed to remit said sins. Period.

There is no outer world that God hasn't created and Christ didn't inherit. He is the Alpha and Omega of the outer world.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

It is a refuge for sinners.

be carefull there Irish - JC was a sinless person, so chosen and yes he may be a candidate for Heaven ... that is not true for sinners - they return from where they came, the Garden of Eden or the OuterWorld of the everlasting.

Irish: There is no outer world that God hasn't created and Christ didn't inherit.

the OuterWorld of the Everlasting is where mankind was expelled from and hopefully by Remittance will return to and someday if so desired find the place called Heaven from.

the OuterWorld is what is seen everyday - just that it is your Physiology that prevents you from being a part of it - the physiology will perish and you with it if you do not clue-up.

* JC did not inherit the Everlasting - your obsession and associate nepotism for JC is far from reality.

Breezie, repent means to return to the highest level, (as in penthouse). It's what happens when you ask God to forgive your trespasses. Since every man sins and falls short of the glory of God, who else but sinners are salvaged and end up in the "penthouse", God's house.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. – Romans 3:23-24

Christ isn't a candidate for Heaven. He's sitting at our Father's right hand right now, interceding on our behalf:

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for. Romans 8:34

Christ's (and us as co-heirs) inheritance:

Hebrews 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
The word all there means every, all, whole.

Rom. 8:32: "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
^
Us / former sinners, cleansed by the blood of Christ.

and:
Rom. 8:16-17: "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs -- heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

Christ and His brothers and sisters on earth inherit it ALL.

As for my obsession with Jesus the Christ:
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
I like fruit.

It's what happens when you ask God to forgive your trespasses.

I have read but to this passage in the Bible -

"Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

... and will not read further until proper justice is rendered.

.................

there is no asking God for anything Irish, only what you have accomplished will be rendered.

OK you two. The serpent was Lucifer, who is a spiritual being, but not a human being. Spiritual beings, (us included), live forever, but angels and humans are not the same spiritual entities.
The same demon spirits that created the nephilim thousands of years ago, that were rampant before the flood, still exist today. The nephilim died in the flood, the spirits that created them are still running rampant..

You are out of your mind.

Every 'spirit' or described being in scripture from the wild beasts of the field, to angels and demons, including Lucifer and the Son of God, are all analogous for the vast array of people who exhibit the heights and depths of human potential and everything in between.

A modern counterpart to what was thought of as a demon in the ancient world would be what you would think of as a dope fiend or a similarly depraved human being. Nothing mystical about it.

The Hebrew word nachash is both a noun and an adjective which can mean: snake / serpent and/or one who practices of divination. The adjective means “bright, brazen” and in genesis the serpent is called ha nachash which means The shiny one.

In the ancient world people who practiced divination were stars as Lucifer is described as an angel of light, a human being claiming to be illuminated who preys on the feeble minded and the gullible. Any religious deceiver who does this is possessed by the 'spirit' of the devil. Lucifer is not some invisible disembodied entity except to the blind.

The kingdom of Heaven is the realm of conscious existence accessible only to the pure of mind.

you reek of cheep wine and vomit.

Purify your mind and be refined or you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven.

Wow................................do you have to have Jesus purify your mind, or is it that you just have to accept Him?

I'm guessing that you just had to accept Him, because your comprehension level is pretty low.

Even when Christ returns to take title of the earth, Satan, the serpent of Eden, doesn't die. He is restrained. First for 1,000 years, then for eternity.

Heaven is where we are crowned for our service to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords if applicable. The crown you will be wearing when you return to earth with Christ to reign. If you have no works or service that you did for Christ's sake, then what you get is forgiveness, and love from your Father and Brother, and a chance to come back and do good works for Christ's sake for eternity.

Those angels are being held in prison to be judged.

Jude 1:6
King James Version (KJV)

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Peter 2:4
King James Version (KJV)

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Jesus even went and preached to those angels.

1 Peter 3:19-20
King James Version (KJV)

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

What determines whether a person goes to heaven or not?

How much they help their fellow man for starters. Jesus seemed to have a thing for the poor and disdain for the wealthy. Exactly the opposite of USMB Republicans. Have you noticed that?

I would account for it by pointing out that you don't know what you are talking about.

You only have to read USMB right wing comments to know the truth.

If those "angels" are being held in prison, they are on an awfully long chains since they are responsible for the evil in the world today. Satan and co. are still running to and fro and won't be chained until Christ returns.
If they were all in prison, what exactly did Christ and His disciples cast out? Remember when Jesus turned a corner and a demon almost ran right into Him, and asked what Christ was doing here because it wasn't His time yet?

You are confusing Hades with Tartarus. Hades, for those humans that died without the benefit of the gift of salvation, whom Christ addressed when He went to Abraham's bosom to collect those that were faithful to God, but couldn't ascend until Christ redeemed them, David, Abraham etc.

Tartarus is the deepest pit of hell, where there are several fallen angels, so demonic that if loosed are capable of destroying life. Apollyon, "the destroyer" for one.

You're right.

From further reading I discovered they no longer have the ability to give themselves bodies but they are part of Satan's influence on humans.
