Well Done, Mr. President

No one can deny Obama's ability to give a good speech, I don't even deny that he wants what he thinks is best for the country, the problem is.. What he thinks is good for the country is not in my opinion. Big government cannot fix anything, they just screw things up and the problem with Obama is he has no experience outside of his own little circle of socialist friends. He was not ready to run anything, Especially The United States of America.

I agree but not the time.

The speech left me with a feeling of hope, that maybe, just maybe, we can be united, instead of divided.

Did you need the President to give a speech to feel that way? Things must be worse than I realized in this world.

There is always hope. And we can always be united instead of divided. We just have to work at being the change we want to be in the world. If we stand and lift where we are, so to speak, we can do it.
Being united requires that each side compromise, something I haven't see much of in a long time.

What is the compromise position on letting the government run health care, banks, the internet, and industrial policy through cap and trade?

The 'Compromise' is LOSS OF TRUE LIBERTY...

-Obama originally wanted a single-payer system, then lessened it to a government option, before finally settling for what we have now. Whether it was a full compromise or not is one thing-but he didn't cut back significantly on what he originally put forward.

He did compromise what he wanted from a single-payer system to what he got passed-whether you like that compromise or not is one thing-but to say he didn't scale it back at all just isn't factually correct.

Ahh, whats there to know? You hire a few advisor's (you call them zarrs), and they keep you apprised of things going on. You just press the yes/no button and move on.

So do you think we need health care reform or no? Just wondering.

I think compromise on principle is wrong.

John McCain wanted to reach across the aisle. So did Bob Dole.

They were losers.

You could have seen the speech. You made no effort to yet you come on to this thread with no knowledge of what you are talking about and like an asshole just keep trying to derail it.
Your bullshit is not appreciated. Knock it off please.

I thought Obama was supposed to start uniting two years ago?

With the likes of yourself, Willow and Stephie around, that will never happen. All he can do is appeal to his constituants and the normal conservatives. The uber neocons can just move on over........

and dont forget those wonderful FAR Leftist we have here Doc....like Dean.....they dont want nothing to do with coming together....Divisiveness is their game also........just ask Dean what he thinks of anyone to his right.....he wont be shy...

Check out my post after the one you quoted...

Okay, I'm not one for public mourning rituals....and what went on in Arkansas was more like a pep rally of sorts to me.....but hey, I'll respect people for how they handle grief.

As for Obama......seems the Community Organizer just check mated the neocon noise machine. I'll disagree with Obama on several points, but damned if he wasn't MISTER PRESIDENT tonight!

I tip my hat to you, President Obama.

For the love of God can you people leave your politics on another thread for once?
