What occurred to me last night is how it took Sweden 15 years to overcome the damage done when they elected leftist government. It will take Greece generations.
You cannot have a system where the bottom 40% of the country pays nothing out, and gets everything free.

Very good. Damned good. Yes, Sweden is most certainly in that situation. The only point I need to make is that we are not a nationalistic people and I think Russell Brand may have missed that. We do not feel nationalistic over this problem. We simply see the destruction of our values and culture ... and we don't like it. The only way to express that is by saying the immigrants do not share our lifestyle and I guess it looks like we are nationalists. To make my point clearer, we have had immigrants for a long, long time - without much problem - they have been grateful to come live and work here and have assimilated, learned our language & customs and were eager to learn or laws and obey them without any nationalistic expression on our part. THESE who are coming now, however, want to destroy our country and that is the difference.

Welfare recipients don't pay income tax or social security tax....if they aren't working.
If it is a suppliment to small income, you only pay FICA taxes on that amount. But most don't reach a taxible level on their income taxes.

However, illegals applying for asylum aren't taxed on their benefits, and most people from Honduras or El Salvador do whatever they can to find work that isn't taxed or under the table. So they become a burden on the system rather than an asset.
