Trump has acknowledged that there might be crimes, but, if there are, they are 'minor' infringements, and not worthy of prosecution.
So the people know that he is prepared to dismiss criminal behaviour, if it's his.
When the next tranche of Mueller's information comes out, it will reveal significantly more serious charges, and we know Trump (and FauxNews) will take the same tack.
But Mueller has a mountain of evidence, and he won't give up.
