Was Bullwinkle J. Moose conservative or liberal?

That's funny!

Roosevelt was a republican who lost the nomination to Taft so he formed his own progressive party, the bull moose.
Rats, you beat me to it!
Platform of the Bull Moose Party:

True to Roosevelt's progressive beliefs, the platform of the party called for major reforms including women's suffrage, social welfare assistance for women and children, farm relief, revisions in banking, health insurance in industries, and worker's compensation. The party also wanted an easier method to amend the constitution

So like Bush he was no conservative?
"The Trust Buster"? Limbaugh would have him for lunch.

Once.
Then Teddy would have blown the addict's head off. Turns out he was pro gun.

given that rocky and bullwinkle was one of the more political cartoon shows, and a good chunk of it was about the cold war and them fighting boris badinov and natasha fatale... i'm going to bet they were conservatives. ;)

on the other hand, bullwinkle's partner was a squirell... so he clearly wasn't pro-segregation...

maybe he *was* a liberal.
 "You must spread some Reputation around etc."

"Boris, dahlink, vhat are you doink?"

"Plottink beeg trouble for Moose and Squerrel!"

Go back to the 1770's, and the classic liberal was conservative.

liberal...wanting to move society forward.

conservative... wanting society to stay the same.

Liberals want to redistribute the wealth of others.

Conservatives want people to be responsible for their own actions and want them to have the freedom to accomplish all they can.

i think it's really important that you learn to separate idiotic rightwingnut spin from actual definitions.

words have meanings.

and your post is rightwingnut talking points....not analysis.

thanks.

ROZMAN:

Liberals want to redistribute the wealth of others.

Conservatives want people to be responsible for their own actions and want them to have the freedom to accomplish all they can.
You have your Catechism down pat!

Now, what do Liberals want?

redistribute the wealth! correct!

Is that why the Conservative tax policy is so fair and sustainable? The 'redistribution' of wealth moved more to the richest and less to the poorest!

There has to be a point low enough, yet practical enough, that Conservatives would agree is the right amount of spending and the right amount of taxes. We gather it's less than 50% of gross, but what's your floor?
