USA Ranks 27th in Social Justice

"Another example of the economic and political inequality built into this system that won't change by "choosing" between Mitt and Mutt next November."

Wrong again, dittohead. You people are against reforming our ridiculously expensive, cruel, and corrupt health "system" and continue the Reaganist policies that ended in insane wars and depression. Change the channel, ya brainwashed morons LOL!

Oh shut the fuck up. Your idea of reform is blatant Marxism. Your Idea of regulation is to promote Marxism..

You're a selfish ass lazy Marxist..

Oh and yes I have read Marx dummy..

"A foundation in Germany has analyzed the social justice records of all 31 members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), ranking each nation in such categories as health care, income inequality, pre-school education, and child poverty.

"The overall performance by the United States — which boasts of being an egalitarian society — outranks only Greece, Chile, Mexico, and Turkey.

"Actually, three of those countries performed better than ours in the education of pre-schoolers, and Greece did better than the United States on the prevention of poverty."

US Ranks 27th in Social Justice | Truthout

What does social justice have to do with the fact that the US treats everyone the same?
US incarceration rates seem to prove we don't treat every one the same:

Per 100,000 in 2004 population, 2,531 Blacks were locked up compared to 957 Latinos and 393 Whites. Crime is a highly complex phenomena, but the fact that the US sits near the bottom of the OECD list in education, health care, and poverty helps explain the racial disparities of incarceration.

Lower?

40% of all births in the US have only one parent in the house.

How much further into the abyss must we sink?

I didn't say I'd like to see more one parent households. 'Social Justice' is just a re-branding of 'socialism'. It has been re-branded to make it more palatable to those of us who value freedom.

'Social Justice' can kiss my ass.

I don't believe it! An honest conservative!

It's nice to hear one finally admit that they consider justice in a society to be socialist!

Actually Beavis, he said "social justice", not "justice". Do try and keep up.

MLK Jr. stood heavily for Social Justice
"Martin Luther King was a social justice crusader whose life was cut short. Had he lived, our country would have been a much better place to live for everyone.

"King didn’t just fight for social justice for African-Americans. He fought on behalf of all Americans who were struggling to get by in an economy that favors the wealthy and powerful.

"He also fought for civil rights, which led to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Two landmark pieces of legislation that stand as a monument to his legacy.

"However, it is his words that stand brighter and are longer lasting than any sculpture or legislation..."

"'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.'

Jeebus what a brainwashed moron- nothing but Beckisms and stupid insults. Pubs were for this health reform (lying POSs) when Hillarycare was up. There's no nationalizing in it, just intelligent regulation, corporate dupe. Keep fighting for the right to die in the gutter and pay twice as much as other countries do for guaranteed care...

Adam Smith was quite clear about how society's elites consolidated state power and used it for their own selfish ends. Today, "Economic Freedom" correlates to corporate control of government and justifies the rule of the richest 1%.

That was a truly sleazy attempt to equate Adam Smith and the free market with the kind of crony capitalism that liberals have been pushing since Teddy Roosevelt.

"Economist Adam Smith formed this theory in his influential work, The Wealth of Nations, in 1776. In 2012, his theory is measured – and proven – in the Index of Economic Freedom, an annual guide published by The Wall Street Journal and The Heritage Foundation, Washington's No. 1 think tank."

What theory?
Adam Smith's conception of a free market was one that was free of undue rentier influence, i.e., a market free of crony capitalism like that practiced by the East India Company in 1776. Smith condemned the economic elites of his day for their pillage of India in the same way Noam Chomsky condemns the systemic corruption by US elites from Haiti to Wall Street today.

The theory I was referring to was supplied by Rabbi:

Index of Economic: Promoting Economic Opportunity and Prosperity

Compared to Bush and Cheney and big oil, Halliburton, Enron, Big Pharma, and the polluting Koch Bros? Please get serious. I thought the Dems were Marxists. Jeebus try and get your story straight, dupes. And good night...

I keep my story straight, it isn't my fault you have no idea who you are talking to.

In other words, Smith endorsed the free market. What you endorse is crony capitalism and massive regulation. The index of economic freedom is the proof that free enterprise works, not your conception of capitalism.

Noam Chomsky is a Maoist who favors outright communism. Painting him as some kind of free marketeer is the ultimate in demagoguery.

What do you think you're trying to prove?

Good. I'd like to see us lower but it's a start.

God I wish I could thumb you down. Wow. Your extremism is nauseating.

Education is Ignorance, thanks for all your help:

"He's (Adam Smith) pre-capitalist, a figure of the Enlightenment. What we would call capitalism he despised. People read snippets of Adam Smith, the few phrases they teach in school.

"Everybody reads the first paragraph of The Wealth of Nations where he talks about how wonderful the division of labor is.

"But not many people get to the point hundreds of pages later, where he says that division of labor will destroy human beings and turn people into creatures as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human being to be. (Creatures like you)

"And therefore in any civilized society the government is going to have to take some measures to prevent division of labor from proceeding to its limits."

Germany's rigorous conservative monetary policy makes that country less socialist than America. You can say whatever you want about "safety nets"; that's the truth.
"Germany has one of the world's highest levels of education, technological development, and economic productivity.

"Since the end of World War II, the number of youths entering universities has more than tripled, and the trade and technical schools of the Federal Republic of Germany (F.R.G.) are among the world's best. Germany is a broadly middle class society.

"A generous social welfare system provides for universal medical care, unemployment compensation, and other social needs."

Germany

Possibly the fact that the richest 1% of Germans earn the same share of national income today (~11%) as they did forty years ago helps explain how a "rigorous monetary policy" enables universal health care?

These other countries also tax their richest citizens and corporations instead of borrowing from them, unlike the USA. The USA is the richest country in history and it has never been richer; maybe you can explain why we sit at the bottom of a list of education, health care and poverty, too much capitalism?

Because freedom means money. Freedom has nothing to do with being educated, opposing discrimination, being able to marry the person you love, or any of that nonsense.

For the benefit of all fascists:

Social Justice:

"The fair and proper administration of laws conforming to the natural law that all persons, irrespective of ethnic origin, gender, possessions, race, religion, etc., are to be treated equally and without prejudice. See also civil rights.

What is social justice? definition and meaning

Nope, that's the definition of "justice." If you put a qualifier in front of the word, then the result must refer to something different. So-called "social justice" refers to organized plunder, not justice.
"justice

"The state or characteristic of being just or fair.
"The ideal of fairness, impartiality, etc., especially with regard to the punishment of wrongdoing.

"Justice was served

"Judgment and punishment of a party who has allegedly wronged (an)other(s)."

justice - Wiktionary

That's the definition of "justice."
Placing the adjective "social" in front of it changes nothing about the ideals of fairness and impartiality it imparts to anyone who isn't "as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human being to be."
