U.S. doctor who moved to Ont. shares observations on Canadian health care

Because the only thing that matters in America is money and profit.

And that's why Trump (or someone like him) should be president. Because he knows all about money and profit.

LOL. Female doctor? LOL. Kinda like asking a shark what to get at a vegetarian restaurant. Id ask my dog about medical care befire a femake doctor.

USA has about 70% all recent medical and drug patents because we are capitalist. Other countries merely copy health care from us!!

More garbage.

The only reason it's an issue at all is because the left made it one. We were all happy with the system we had except the homeless and unemployed. But they could get healthcare whenever they wanted it. Every city has at least one hospital takes and has taken indigent care. Mine is one of them.

Our system was not only NOT awful, it was the greatest on the planet. It still is mostly.

Really? What is your monthly premium?

Irrelevant. Unless your idea of a great system is one that provides free medical care. If that is so then we are arguing apples and oranges. I know mine isn't free, but then I know I'm receiving the best care in the world.

Meh, a doctor who was disillusioned with healthcare in the U.S., goes to Canada to work. Does anyone think she's going to say: "Gosh! I screwed up! It's better in the U.S.!"? No she isn't.

As a medical professional for 33 years, I have taken care of more than my share of Canadians. They come here for their healthcare for a reason.

Would you say your anecdotal experience is better than or equal to that of the doctor cited in the OP?

Only we have universal health care and the parasitic insurance companies are eradicated then will we have true health care, not based on profit.

Disillusioned with the U.S. healthcare system, Dr. Emily Queenan moved from Rochester, N.Y. to join a medical practice in Penetanguishene, Ontario this fall. Now she’s sharing her observations on the Canadian medicare system, where she says it’s easier to get patients in for follow-up visits but harder for them to see a specialist.

Queenan, in general practice, said she found her patients in the U.S. system would often pay thousands of dollars out of pocket because private insurance never covers the whole bill. “I would see people go without care because of they were afraid of the costs,” she said.

Dr. Queenan and her staff in Rochester were spending more and more time trying to get reimbursed at the expense of hands-on care.

Whats wrong with this picture? a doctor moves from a liberal city, that claims to be a showcase city for health care in a liberal state ,what could have gone wrong?

What's wrong is your assumption that Rochester is a "liberal" city. Got any proof?

I'll look at them if you'll post them.

dear stupid liberal, without profit no one would invest and there would be no incentive to improve quality to improve profits profit is why we succeeded and why Red China failed. Do you lack the IQ to understand?t

you mean Alexander Fleming would not have discovered penicillin without investment? Is that what you're saying? Really? How about comparing to Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australian, NZ....

Growing some mold is hardly comparable to todays modern medicine.

if a person is lib commie he will like the Canadian system; if not he'll hate it. It is embarrassing that their libcommie system costs about half what ours costs.

The canadian system sucks....in this case you actually do get what you pay for.
Unfortunately with BarryCare the prices are through the roof and you end up with substandard care.

She shares her observations on Canadian Health Care?? You idiots.... you mindlessly stupid morons.

FROM YOUR ARTICLE.....

I'm excited about resuming my practice, this time in a context that is not subject to the vagaries of backroom deals between moneyed, vested interests. I'm looking forward to being part of a larger system that values caring for the health of individuals, families and communities as a common good -- where health care is valued as a human right.

Do you idiots not read the crap you cite? This idiotic doctor, hasn't even worked in Canada. Let alone has enough experience in the Canadian system to give you her "observations" on it.

This is the problem with all of you brainless left-wing air-heads. You hear some idiot who is saying something you already agree with, and without questioning, without considering, without even determining the validity of the statements, or vetting the source, you accepting like a blind monkey.

Did you even notice, she is associated with a Canadian Pro-Gov-Care think tank? She hasn't yet worked one WEEK in Canada, but she's connected to a Canadian health care media organization? And you think her opinion is unbiased and credible?

Funny how you left-tards can look at a cancer report connected to a tobacco company, and obviously see the conflict of interest, but when it's some topic you already agree with, suddenly your critical thinking switches off, and you end up with Forest Gump intelligence.
