Trump touts big energy deals in Asia

Oh yeah. Trump went to Asia and made $300 billion in deals.

Well... no, not really, some of the deals had already been done before, some of them will never be done. But most interesting is that half of them are to the Chinese.

What deals?

"Among the energy agreements, the highest value was China Energy Investment Corporation's plan to invest $83.7bn over two decades in shale gas and chemical manufacturing projects in the state of West Virginia."

Yep, he has the Chinese in West Virginia doing work that American businesses could be doing. 1-0 to the Chinese

"That was followed by a $43bn deal to develop liquefied natural gas in Alaska, between China's top state oil firm Sinopec, Bank of China and China Investment Corp, and Alaska Gasoline Development Corp."

Yep, he has the Chinese in Alaska, doing work that American businesses could be doing. 2-0 to China.

"In 2005, Chinese oil major CNOOC made a bid for US energy company Unocal, sparking a political backlash in the US that ultimately led to the bid being withdrawn. Dr Wilson said that since then, none of the three large Chinese state-owned energy firms - CNPC, Sinopec and CNOOC - have attempted a push into the US market.

Yep, in 2005 Bush Dubya, under pressure from NATIONALISTS, the sort who are TRUMP SUPPORTERS, basically prevented the Chinese doing such deals. Now Trump wants to make America grate again has decided to let the Chinese come in and make money, lots of money, in the US. "Make China great again" huh?

It's all good, and you are a moron.

You are like the people who wailed about Japanese investors buying the Pebble Beach golf club. Afraid they were going to take it back to Japan, perhaps?

Definitely moronic.

China has found a real sucker with Trump; playing him like an orange yo-yo.

No you dolt. They take your money back to Japan. It increases the balance in trade in favour of the Japanese. It’s like buying an imported car.

There is a danger in selling off your resources to foreign entities. People with your best interests at heart don’t own them.

The Chinese don’t care about destroying your groundwater through fracking. They don’t drink that water in China. Same with that pesky earthquake problem.

Most Japanese cars are made here, the profit may go back to Japan, but actually since US Funds invest in foreign companies the chain is much more complicated.

Considering you don't trust US industrialists your concern about Chinese ones is comical

The Chinese do care about following US rules, as they don't want to incur higher costs due to fines.

I went to Walmart yesterday for warranty replacement truck battery. Most of their new batteries were from Saudi Arabia. WTF? - Big heavy lead batteries shipped to Missouri all the way from Saudi Arabia? This shit is getting worse. Trump promised to stop this, but the first thing he did was bless the largest outsourcing of a US company in history & allowed China to screw US.

Oil price has steadily climed since Trump election & appointed oil men to run things.

yes, those "oil men" control oil prices.
You, sir, are a GENIUS!

China has found a real sucker with Trump; playing him like an orange yo-yo.

He pulled this same shit when he went to the Middle East. Had the Saudis sign a bunch of deal memos and letters of intent and then said he’d sold the Saudis $300 billion dollars in military equipment. He sold them nothing.

I read through the list of “deals” Donnie got signed while he was away. Lots of “agreements to explore mutual interests” or “agree to discuss acquiring [hardware] subject to further discussions around areas of agreement” so it’s a deal to discuss maybe making a deal if we can come to terms. Right.

Trump didn’t come home with thousands of American jobs. Or billions in trade deals. While he was pulling off his dog and pony show con for the American people, the Pacific Rim Leaders signed the Trans Pacific Partnership Trade Agreement without him. This makes China the leading member of this partnership instead of the US. This is a real deal and America has shot itself in the foot in terms of trade and in terms of its future in the region.

This is Trump the Con Man making the marks think he’s doing something for them with his phony deal memos. Or as Shakespeare said “It is a tale told by an idiot. Full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing.”

There are no rules to worry about. The EPA has been gutted. Pollute at will.
