Budget director Mick Mulvaney said that once states have “a little skin in the game,” they will be more inclined to root out abuses and waste in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Overall, the Trump administration wants to squeeze out about $193 billion from SNAP over 10 years.

To do so, President Trump wants able-bodied adults without dependent children to work for their food stamps, Mulvaney said.

Here Are the States That Now Have Work Requirements for Food Stamp Recipients

Most states already require this. Its redundant to make his rah rah dumb ass supporters scream with joy....problem is this WON'T remove many people from the rolls BECAUSE 1. The working poor are FAST becoming the most people on food stamps AND 2. In heavily democratic/negro/latino infested cities the corruption is huge so when it says work 20 hours a week they falsify the reports and keep getting their FS.

Yes, I know someone who raised her children on welfare and got pregnant again at 40 years old.

She is now having to work to receive food stamps and lower housing help..nothing wrong with healthy people working..

Years ago, Cali tried making folks on welfare work some for their money and the outcry was such that you'd of thought you stomped their dog to death. They said it took away their dignity or some shit.
In one financial/budget emergency, state employees checks and welfare checks were to be held back till the budget was passed.
Welfare folks got theirs, employees got it up the tailpipe

I was living in Alexandria,VA when "workfare" was proposed...yanno, when welfare recipients might be required to perform public work to substantiate their handouts? It was deemed "slavery" and struck down. Technically, I can expect to slave away in order to feed their lazy azzes while they pump more mouths for me to feed. (PS: I had one child that I could afford to raise.)
