Trump designates North Korea as state sponsor of terrorism

The way to avoid war is to push people up against the wall so hard that they have only 2 choices fight or give up? then gamble with millions of lives that they will pick your choice. waiting to hear what Russia & China have to say.
North Korea doesn't have to do either. They just have to press the button. This is why fighting words aren't protected speech here, you caused a conflict that otherwise would not have happened. If you leave North Korea alone the conflict goes away.

About time. Well done. Time for the world to take notice and deal with N Korea accordingly.

Trump designates North Korea as state sponsor of terrorism

President Trump announced Monday that the United States is designating North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism, something he said “should have happened a long time ago.”

Trump announced the designation in a Cabinet meeting at the White House, clearing the way for more sanctions on the “murderous” rogue regime, just days after returning from his historic 13-day trip to Asia.

“We will be instituting a very critical step,” Trump said. “Today, the U.S. is designating North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism. [This] should have happened a long time ago -- should have happened years ago.”

WRONG !!!!.....The bastards currently in charge of NK are NOT "sponsors of terrorism"; they may be rogue and they may an impending threat to the stability of that region, but I am not sure that they are pouting money into terrorist groups (like Saudi Arabia or Pakistan do) ......

What Trump's stupidity may now do, is perhaps opting to live to the label given to them by the idiot-in-chief, and BEGIN sharing nuclear information with terrorists.

The orange clown does the damn WRONG thing.....again.
I tend to think he is doing this so he can slam more sanctions into them and avoid war.

Without China and Russia, sanctions against NK will NEVER work..

However, placing them in the "sponsor of terrorism" designation will probably prompt evil organizations such as ISIS and AQ to make overture to NK to help them gain nuclear knowledge and make these terrorist organizations proxies of NK.
lol ok

I am trying to find the bill introduced to Congress back a few months ago to see what it said. Im not sure if the bill and Donalds decision are connected though.

Text - H.R.479 - 115th Congress (2017-2018): North Korea State Sponsor of Terrorism Designation Act of 2017

North Korea had been on the list of State Sponsor of Terrorism since the late 1980's until President Warmonger W. Bush removed them in the hopes of preserving a nuclear deal with the Kim Jung-Il.

Beyond the House Bill linked above, recently 12 Senators (6 Republicrats and 6 Demopublicans) have been urging the SoS to reinstate them on the list, might have something to do with the NK Government carrying out assassinations, torturing American Prisoners, carrying out cyberattacks against the likes of Sony and lobbing missiles over Japan's territory not to mention making a constant stream of threats to do all sorts of mischief if everybody doesn't do what they want.

Where, exactly, is the terrorism in that list? Should I fear there will be no "Frozen II" because Sony gets hacked?

More 'Regime Change', more war. When will Americans finally have enough of this Permanent War agenda. Sit down with the man and work out a peace deal. War isn't necessary.

Personally, i dont think its any of our business what they are doing. Who cares if they put a hit on our POTUS? Who cares if they threaten us weekly. They aint shit compared our military.
Now, if i was Japanese, i would be all about it. They are fucking with Japan and that shit is real.

LOL, where is "terrorism" NOT in that list? Did you think it doesn't apply to the North Koreans because they aren't Muslims?

The Federal Government loosely defines terrorism as acts of violence pursuant to ideological, political or religious aims; Assassinating your political rivals on foreign soil, maliciously destroying the property of foreign companies, overtly threatening other countries with thermonuclear weapons, etc.., oddly enough are considered acts of violence pursuant to political aims when the perpetrator is a foreign government attempting to directly influence the foreign policy of other nations.

The conundrum is that the North Koreans have demonstrated a pattern of misbehavior that indicates that the more attention they get the worse their behavior becomes, so whenever they get "punished" they usually escalate whatever behavior they're getting "punished" for just enough to bring their opponents to the bargaining table but not enough to set off a military confrontation.

The North Koreans aren't good at much but they're EXCELLENT at playing chicken with the rest of the world.;)

Hacking Sony is terrorism? That list is "loosely" defined alright, to include nearly everything.

The last time I checked we weren't Japan.

Excellent observation!
I am so glad you joined! You are obviously a great attribute.

Hacking Sony is terrorism?

According the Federal Government, yes, it's an active violence against a foreign entity pursuant to a political objective (in Sony's case it was an attempt to "shut them up" for producing content Kim Jung-un didn't like). What would you prefer the dickheads in Washington call it? An Act of War?

That list is "loosely" defined alright, to include nearly everything.
I'm not the one that created the definition, bitch to your congress critters if you don't like it, I'm sure they'll care about your opinion on the matter approximately as much as I do.:dunno:

Being hacked because you pissed someone in power off isn't terrorism.

They sponsor terrorism where, exactly?
Its said they support HAMAS
I am trying to find the bill introduced to Congress back a few months ago to see what it said. Im not sure if the bill and Donalds decision are connected though.
The only terror they sponsor is that in the minds of right-wing American bed-wetters. Those precious Snowflakes needing their safe spaces.

I guess that South Korean passenger jet they blew up, the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, and, the bombing in Rangoon were all figments of the imagination.

Uh-huh, attempting to foment terror amongst your political enemies to get them to alter their behavior to suit your political objectives has nothing to do with terrorism....

... Meanwhile, back on Earth, Thanksgiving is this Thursday.

30 years ago, not terrorism, and more than 30 years ago, Thank God Trump has now acted to save us from this major (and timely) threat.

You have yet to find anything like terror. Just what evil are they sponsoring this day?

So that is what this all about. You don't like it b/c Trump added them to the list. All this does is give more us leverage in sanctions and diplomatic negotiations.
