Trump Admits He Crossed The Line

Exactly!

Whats a Presidency worth if you can't even walk out in the middle of the street and shoot someone in broad daylight?
Republicans are slick. Mitch said he didn't convict Trump for Jan 6 after Nancy impeached him because Trump was no longer president.

But Trump's saying he should get immunity because he was president at the time. In fact Trump says he was doing these crimes in his official capacity as POTUS.

To overstep a boundary, rule, or limit; to go too far or do something unacceptable.

“EVEN EVENTS THAT ‘CROSS THE LINE’ MUST FALL UNDER TOTAL IMMUNITY, OR IT WILL BE YEARS OF TRAUMA TRYING TO DETERMINE GOOD FROM BAD,” Trump wrote in all capital letters on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Is that True for Biden and future Democratic presidents?

He added: “SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH ‘GREAT BUT SLIGHTLY IMPERFECT.’ ALL PRESIDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETE & TOTAL PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY, OR THE AUTHORITY & DECISIVENESS OF A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WILL BE STRIPPED & GONE FOREVER. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE AN EASY DECISION. GOD BLESS THE SUPREME COURT!”
Trump’s lawyers argued in federal court earlier this month that his actions seeking to overturn the 2020 election, leading up to the violent Jan. 6, 2021, attack on Congress, were official acts and that he is, therefore, immune from prosecution by the Justice Department, which has charged him with three counts of conspiracy and one count of obstructing an official proceeding.

However, the U.S. District Court of Appeals judges seemed likely to reject that argument. Trump’s comments on Thursday signaled that he hopes the conservative 6-3 Supreme Court will take up the matter and rule in his favor.
Trump is making the case Biden could have him assassinated and face no legal consequence. Two birds, one stone.

How many were taken to court and tried?
We all know that presidents sometimes cross lines. But not with criminal intent. They didn't do it because they believed they were above the law and could get away with it. They tried very hard to cover up their crimes. Iran Contra. And no we didn't go after Reagan.

Consider this. We should have impeached Trump after he started Jan 6. But Mitch said he wasn't president anymore. Now Trump's saying he was? Then he should have been convicted in the Senate. There's still time Mitch.

This is all slick lawyer bullshit. Republicans say they want tort reform and they talk about frivilous lawsuits and judges legislating from the bench. Hypocrites.

He plans on crossing many lines.

Donald Trump is setting his sights on a critical target if he wins: independent federal agencies.

There are dozens of these agencies, often known by their three- or four-letter acronyms. Some are obscure. Others, like the Federal Reserve, the Federal Communications Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board, are well known. Unlike executive branch agencies, these entities tend to be bipartisan or apolitical, and report to Congress.

The former President’s campaign trumpets a move to bring the key regulatory bodies “under presidential authority,” framing it as part of a broader assault on the “administrative state” and an attempt to “liberate” America from “Biden’s regulatory onslaught.”

“These agencies do not get to become a fourth branch of government,” Trump’s campaign website declares.

The rhetoric portends the worst excesses of a potential Trump presidency: the corruption of the independent, evidence-based agencies, many of them products of the New Deal era and beloved by liberal America — and the abuse of their power for political ends. The plans align neatly with Trump’s promises to shift the apparatus of government towards “retribution,” teasing criminal cases against his political opponents and suggesting that he would be a “dictator on day one.”

He appreciates your vote for recognizing his honesty.

Remember you guys lied and said Trump was innocent? You want to apologize now?

Trump For The First Time Concedes That His Actions May Have Been Illegal

In an all-caps, middle-of-the-night rant about his Jan. 6 case, the former president said that he deserved total immunity, even for things that "CROSS THE LINE."

No. Because he hasn't been found guilty of anything. Civil cases are civil cases. They don't prove anyone is guilty of anything.

Trump's basically admitting he broke laws. Crossed lines. His argument is he should get a free pass, after saying Lock Her Up to Hillary.

I thought you idiots knew better than to fuck with the Clinton's? They've killed for less.

If that's true, what was Trump thinking?

We all know that presidents sometimes cross lines. But not with criminal intent.
Anytime a president or any elected official crosses a line in office, they are breaking laws. The question is do they have the authority to, as a president dealing with clear and present dangers?

They tried very hard to cover up their crimes. Iran Contra.

There were around 12 indictments.....

And no we didn't go after Reagan.

He testified.

Then he should have been convicted in the Senate.
For what?? Never happen unless they find a body in the Lincoln bedroom.

Not quite what He said.....you're twisting it.

“EVEN EVENTS THAT ‘CROSS THE LINE’ MUST FALL UNDER TOTAL IMMUNITY, OR IT WILL BE YEARS OF TRAUMA TRYING TO DETERMINE GOOD FROM BAD,”

No 'I did it'....you never cease to amaze me.

No you don't have the "authority" to break the law. But you might be able to give me a scenario where I would give a president a pass. Like a ticking timebomb scenario and you have to torture someone even though torture is breaking the law. I'd give them a pass.

Or wire tapping Trump because you knew as a candidate he was crossing the line.

In the interest of national security He can and would.

Obama murdered an American citizen, without any due process. Violated existing EO on US Gov't take out specials. Did it and it was all buried as classified.
If you want a corrupt dictator who won’t let immigrants in move to Russia

Robert Byrd made the same sort of convoluted crap up to not vote to impeach Clinton.

Spot the guy who understands NOTHING about Constitutional law, nothing about the Founding Fathers or how the whole system works. Yep, it's Trump.

I don't want to listen to you or Trump's lawyers twist the meanings of the constitution or founding fathers.

Remember Washington turned down the offer to be our king? You think Trump would do that? LOL

What am I twisting? Oh, nothing. The US Constitution has separation of church and state for a reason.
