The thing conservatives in general and especially the conservatives on this board need to learn about trolling is you need to have an element of truth to what you're saying otherwise you just come off looking stupid. The Republicans and conservatives in general try their hardest to piss off the rest of us (because making us angry will somehow make us vote for them?) but they always come off so stupid that it never works well.

Liberals are all parasites. They all admit it. They're nothing but a gang of blood sucking ticks. If I'm a "dying breed" then this country is doomed. Many of the trolls banned from participating in WND forums appear to have been operating on a professional level.

Some could be leftist “plants” whose purpose is to damage the reputation of WND by posing as supporters and utilizing offensive language and making obscene claims or suggestions.

Categories of abuse

Trolls use a wide variety of strategies, some of which are unique to the Internet, including these:

1. Making outrageous comments designed to distract or frustrate. This is a Saul Alinsky-style tactic employed to stir emotion and angry reactions.

2. Posing as a conservative and making comments that discredit the movement. After claiming to be a member of the movement, such as a tea party organization, the troll then proceeds to post long, incoherent diatribes to appear either racist or insane. In some cases, these “Trojan Horse Trolls” have been known to make posts that advocate or incite to the use of violence in an apparent attempt to provide evidence to leftist critics and government sources that the right is comprised of “radical extremists.”

Maddow makes claims, but fails to back them up. It's much like many here who instantly resort to name calling, even when some of us sit down and write long posts in an effort to explain our views. I get nasty pm messages that are just disgusting name calling and some try to use as many offensive words as possible.

One poster here simply writes pubcrappe, pubdupes as a reply to virtually everything. Others simply bash the source of articles or call names. Anyone want to spend some time going through threads and finding examples? There are tons here. That, to me, is what trolls do. They go around and spout talking points and call names. Some of the responses are exactly the same, like the poster just constantly cuts and pastes the same thing regardless of what is being discussed. That is not having an opinion, it's just pasting your stupidity everywhere.

Some accuse you of racism for disagreeing with anything Obama says or does. Some call you greedy because you dread higher taxes and increased health insurance premiums. Some call you crazy gun fanatics because you believe in our rights. The labeling of people simply because they are on the opposite side of the issue is rampant here.

Maddow is the queen of trolls. That snarky bitch presents her opinions as if they are facts, then bashes anyone who doesn't buy into her rhetoric. She, like many other loud mouth hacks, are not interested in discussion. She is interesting in talking and expecting others to listen. Period.
