I would say, in the interest of fairness, that we (blacks and whites) benefit from the racism of the past. Without slavery, most African Americans would be Africans. Comparing the quality of life with the majority of Africans to that of African Americans, I'd know which country I would prefer.

Would that be the "racist" forefatheres that settled a relatively unpopulated south africa (the natives didn't like the cold weather)?
