Still trying to find where the board costs are being misrepresented in the announcement, and also why $415 is 'pricey'. This is a fairly large board poster wise, and has to have a huge ongoing storage capacity to be able to even offer a search function, and then there are the add ons for other stuff; just the software alone would cost quite a bit, plus the admin costs, and yes the server fees, etc., so $415 looks on the low side to me, even when offset by advertising revenue. It's not just a matter of buying the base $140 Xenforo package, loading it on a server and pressing 'start' and that's the end of it.
