The train is coming...

.. at this time last cycle, they were jumping in by the droves. It's pretty bad when they were already getting in at this time on the Republican side after arguably one of the worst Republican presidencies ever, but are seem to be seeing who can get in last this time around.. What're they scared of? Surely not the evil socialist that Americans hate and can't wait to rid themselves of.. :eusa_whistle:

Would you be jumping in to the fray right now? I don't care what anyone on the right is saying the odds on favorite to win the next Presidential Election is the man that holds the oval office today. I don't like his politics, but I sure as hell can't see a single Republican out there that has the gonads to take his job away from him. They'd all be better off waiting to see what happens in 2016... um and praying for a shitty second term so they have a chance to defeat Hillary if she runs.

I wonder who will be the unlucky one that the GOP will throw to the wolves this time around.

Immie

I don't agree with all of his politics either (though mostly disagreeing from his left). I just can't see Newt, Tim.. or anyone on the right that is on his level as far as a politician. Like him or not, this guy can campaign.

To be truthful, I kind of like him. I hate his politics, but as a person, I kind of like him. I won't vote for him nor am I likely to vote for the poor sucker that the GOP throws out there, but as a person, I think he'd be cool to know and party with. Especially if he supplied the beer whenever we got together.

Republicans can't even get a candidate on track

You 'Baggers surely are suckers for punishment!!!!!

At this time, four years ago, they had John McCain.....distinguished war hero, veteran Senator

Now .....they have nothing close to a John McCain

Lol, see what I mean? This guy think McCain in some way represented the conservative in people... "War Hero" lolz.

So, TM... Why didn't you vote for the war hero that pretty much backed all the same policies Obama has supported or expanded as of today?

Didn't realize we were on the Democrat time table.....
Don't worry there's plenty of time for the liberal controlled media to coordinate with the WH on their attack plans on whichever candidate we put forth.

I wouldn't be so cocky considering that Libya just might not go so quietly into the night and it might not be so cut and dried. The economy is still a mess even though the WH has claimed complete and total success. The unemployment numbers better get a WHOLE lot better and the price of food and gas will be a problem.

But then again in 2 years the famous Stimulus plan just might take effect and another 6 jobs may be created.:eusa_shhh:

Word.

No republican candidate is even coming close to beating Obama in the polls. Maybe Romney but considering Romneycare is Obamacare, he will lose.

Does it matter?

You will hate whoever gets nominated and then blame him for losing to Obama

Lining up the bus already....whoever gets nominated will be under it soon enough

Well for that matter is there anyone left for President Obama to throw under the bus after the last campaign? Seems to me there were a lot of victims of the Obama campaign as well.

If you listen closely, you can hear it in the distance. If you put your ear to the ground you can hear it even better. If you look closely, there is a dim light that shows the end of the tunnel is getting closer. You can feel the ground begin to shake just a little. The train is coming... Just think, Obama has less time left in office than he has already served. THANK GOD.

Obama would make a great European leader. He's a total failure for the US:

Agreed

If the jobs situation and the economy haven't turned around by 2012 then I don't think Ol'BO will get elected again.

Things are turning around slowly now but will they improve enough by election time in 2012??

The encumbant always has the edge. Doesn't matter which party either. A lot will depend on who runs on the Rep side and what his message is.

Won't know that until they start taking the plunge later this year.

While I don't hate Barry Boy personally I do dislike his policies and his left leaning attitude.

I would love to get around a kitchen table with this guy and give him an earfull, around a couple of beers of course. He can even buy just to show what a great guy he is. LOL

I agree the economy will be a major issue in the 2012 campaign. The reason I don't think it will cause President Obama's defeat is that there is too much evidence supporting the claim that much of the economic problems we face were caused by President Bush and the Republicans. Obama's multi-trillion dollar spending spree will not be seen as the failure it was, but rather as an effort to correct a problem caused by someone else.

They will simply say that things were worse than we ever imagined and people will buy that hook line and sinker.

I thought that at this point in 2007 they had Rudy Guilliani famous mayor and man about town. Then he dithered and campaigned poorly and allowed Mitt Romney, famous Mormon who could not pass muster with the "Religious" Right to come to the forefront.

Then they dabbled in Mike Huckabee, famous weight loss expert and loose cannon.

After all the others shot themselves in the political foot, the had John McCain thrust upon them by the Democrats (despite the fact that the Democratic nominee was not a settled affair as late as April of 2008).

Republicans love the old reliables.....

They will go through the motions and end up with Romney or Huckabee

Still can't figure out how they managed to blame the Democrats because they selected John McCain.....But hey....they are Republicans
