The picture shows Goebbels - and I found out one of the clerics there is bishop Bornewasser. Bornewasser had a good contact to the rabbi Adolf Altmann. It is said he had helped Jews to flee. He remembered the Nazis in public in 1941 to the commandement "Thou shalt not kill" and fought against their euthanasia program. He became a honorary citizen of Trier in 1946 - with remark for his „unerschrockene Verteidigung von Recht und Sitte gegen Gewaltherrschaft“ = his "fearless defense of right and custom against despotism".
