Where do taxes and insurance cost equate in your estimation? There are many more costs than just transportation you are leaving out there.You'd have to pay a lot more for everything. Mexico makes everything from avacados to zippers.
Is paying more worth ending slave labor from the countries we get it from? I think so. Not to mention the incentive for American companies either staying here, or coming back to save on transportation cost.
