The only real issue: what exactly is a Republican?

From day one a Republican has been someone opposed to the big liberal government of England and then opposed to those who would make our government bigger and bigger and more and more liberal with no end in sight short of monarchy or communism.

Solving this issue will settle the debt, war and climate change? You are claiming it's "the only real issue", right? :cuckoo:

Political philosophy doesn't trump the fact that the Democratic-Republican Party ended in 1824 and the Republican Party was founded in 1854.

Books -- They're not just for chewing on.

PLease tell us that the Congressional Record was lying:

Ever heard of an abbreviation? Google it.

Repubs were for single payer before President Obama was.

if this is true I'll pay you $10,000. Bet or run away again.

Why don't you lose the infantile insult at the end of every single one of your posts and just post as an adult?

Sorry, but look what you just posted above about Republicans wanting single payer and ask yourself whether you deserve to be insulted. You are a liberal.

Well... I'm not sure on the single payer thing... But I do know they wanted the "individual Mandate" long before Obamacare was ever even thought of. And I will bet $10K on that one.

if there was use of Democratic-Republican in 18th century I'll pay you
$10,000. Bet, liberal?

That's why Romney is the perfect pub/bagger.

Romney of course is for freedom from liberal government far more so than Obama who had 2 communist parents, is beloved by the CPUSA, and voted to the left of Bernie Sanders.

Are you getting the basic idea now?

Yes, Romney is against "liberal government" because he is OR Big Money and you know it. Gawd knows he says it almost every day.

The "Communist parents" is just plan silly and Sanders is a Socialist, which, is the opposite of Communist. Why not stick to facts and look up definitions?

Any more one line insults at the and of your posts and you're on ignore. Talk like an adult.

BULLSHIT! Communism is the logical result of socialism. Do you remember the Soviet Union? USSR? Union of Soviet Socialist Republics?

In 2008, then presidential candidate Barack Obama was opposed to the individual mandate. He stated the following in a Feb. 28, 2008 interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show about his divergent views with Hillary Clinton:

The $10,000 bet is getting very old. You have a decent head on your shoulders, son. Don't get pigeon holed as the 10 grand man.

In short, I wont take the bet or support what I said, I'm a liberal!

No dude.. I am talking when Clinton was in Office... the GOP wanted an individual mandate to protect against Freeloaders and also to counter the "employer" mandate that was part of "HillaryCare".

They were for it before they were against it.

Go back and read my posts in this thread. I'll bet you $10,000 that I'm at least half again as conservative as you. I'm only trying to help you avoid becoming known as a hopeless hack, as in:

"EdwardBaiamonte? Who's EdwardBaiamonte?"

"You know the guy that bets 10 G's on every post"

Let me tell you the biggest difference between Socialism and Communism.... it's right there in the slogan that Righties love to vomit.

The slogan.. "From Each according to their ability, to each according to their need" was Karl Marx, who bastardized it from the original Socialist slogan which was this:

From each according to their ability, to each according to their CONTRIBUTION.

One word... incredible difference.... that's why Socialism and Communism is NOT the same thing and is not a natural progression. In Socialism... As long as people are Contributing to society in a positive manner, they will be taken care of. In Communism... it really doesn't matter what you do.

As I said, the logical result. Once people realize that they can vote to take money and goods from those that have more,, they cease to produce. The concept is noble, but in practice, it has never worked on a scale larger than a few hundred people.
Even on the communes of the 60's, eventually, the pigs became more equal.

That's why we need Capitalism too... That's what drives me nuts about this Left/right thing. Righties thing the lefties are Marxists... lefties think the righties are Fascists.

The simple truth is... what has kept us a strong and dynamic country and economy is the amalgamation of both ideals and finding common ground.
