So you're saying that when I buy a movie on DVD, I can make as many copies as I want and just hand them out to anyone?
Seriously?
You should read up on copyright law before you post nonsense. It's all online and easy to understand.
But to summarize:
When anyone creates something and fixes it to a medium, they immediately own the copyright to that creation. If they are doing so as an employee, then the employer owns the copyright - that's called a 'work for hire'.
Owning a physical item, like a DVD or hard drive does not give you ownership, or the right to copy the contents of that medium. You must have expressed permission of the copyright owner to make copies of the contents.
Copying the contents of any medium without the expressed permission of the copyright owner can only be done with a court order.
The courts make exceptions for giving copies of contents to immediate family.
That is ridiculous.
Of course you can make as many copies of anything movie you want.
But if you were to give them away, that would deprive the original creator of the profits they expect and deserves, and you would be violation the copyright agreement when you were allowed to buy the original.
But the Hunter Biden laptop has no copyright agreement because it was not purchased, but was abandoned and reclaimed as salvage.
Since there is no copyright agreement, and no money was required for the original, then you can give the copies away.
But no one is trying to sell or give the copies way.
All people are interested in is the transcript of the emails for evidence.
And evidence laws trump any sort of copyright laws.
But no emails ever have or get copyrights.
Emails are not owned by the creator, but the email software company, the server owner who runs the email software, etc.
