The idea that no solution exists never occurs to them & in this lies their strength

As usual those on the right, Tea Baggers (I really enjoy posting that term) and neo-Republicans don't really have any ideas. They're stuck on - as noted above - cut taxes, cut spending, reduce the size of government and then they dance the Henny Penny Polka ("Oh NO! The sky is falling")
Nowhere do the 'dudes' and dudettes ever express an idea, a suggestion or a hint that they have ever thought through the problem of (pick one) Illegal Immigration; Job Creation; Deficits; Economic Crisis' in the several states, healthcare, border security, etc. etc.
Any 'ideas' are solely based on emotion, never critical thinking or concern for the consequences of what the action may produce.

As opposed to the liberal solution? Raise taxes; raise spending in multiples of tax increases.

Both sides have it wrong. It has to be raise taxes; cut spending and since neither side is interested in cutting spending; we're screwed.

The only problem is those are ideas. LOL

Ones that actually work unlike the uncontrolled spending your buddies are doing right now.

Ideas? I suggest the're platitudes. Spending was out of control under Bush&Co, he wanted, the R's in control gave.
Now the R's say we are REALLY fiscally responsible (the first decade of this new century was an anomily), Trust us.
IMHO your post and their words are total bull shit. The R party supports Corporte America - the elite of the R party don't give a shit about middle class America.

Please don't tell me that you believe the elite of the Democrats do.

Those sound like ideas to me and they're ideas that have proven to work in the past.

That's not true at all. I've heard plenty of ideas offered on these subjects. Just because they're ideas that don't involve the Socialist route you'd like to see doesn't mean they aren't ideas.

Any 'ideas' are solely based on emotion, never critical thinking or concern for the consequences of what the action may produce.

You just described so called liberals to a tee. In fact just about everything the radical left espouses is emotional based garbage with no basis in reality whatsoever. That is why when we do things their way it always fails.

I agree. At this point we've overspent so badly higher taxes are probably going to be inevitable and they must coincide with steep spending cuts, but you're right. We're not going to see that from either party.

Cold Logic: Hope. Change. Yes We Can.

LOL
Hope. Change. Yes we can, election slogans.

Spend money to start the economy. Prime the pump as the credit market has tanked and the banks are failing by the dozen. Those are sound, proven economic practices never considered by the typical Tea bagger.

Not enough angst to keep interest up. Seems you can't gather political strength through sound policies in times like these. You need anger, not solutions.

It would help if the politicians would get the Hell out of the way. They've got the people in an unrelenting stranglehold using punitive taxation for control, and their Socialist visions over this Republic.

It's gotta stop.
aw, c'mon! you can make it sound scarier than that!

It's reality, and it's scary enough...unless that's what you want. People who enjoy freedom aren't too keen on it.

Yeah...If you really want to get the libruls worked up and a-skeered about something, you have to mention Wal-Mart!:lol::lol:

I've still seen no explanation of why tax cuts and spending cuts are not a real solution. After the amazing track record they've had they seem like the only thing that hasn't been tried that has the highest success rate.

What is so bad about not spending money on things we cant afford?

Really? You cut taxes after 2001. How did that work?

You had your chance to cut spending, what did you do?

You had your chance to reduce the size of government, what did you do?

Have we any reason to believe anything you say?
See?...Even doddering old fools like you can see that the ideas of really lower taxes (not those piddling little sops the Shrub got passed), drastically reduced spending and seriously pared back bureaucracy haven't even honestly been tried yet.

Dude, you're a cliche. Rather than be an echo, suggest what should be cut. Today local agencies are cutting police, fire, EMT's, public works (allowing the infrastructure to crumble), misquito and vector control; schools are cutting staff and higher eduction has raised fees and tuition making college impossible for larger segements of our population.
All you and your kind do is whine, and piss and moan that those much more capable than youselves are able to secure jobs with government agencies that pay well and provide healthcare and retirment benefits.
Taxes are, and always will be - only "doddering fools" believe any political party will reduce taxes as you suggest. People, normal people who rely on reason not emotion to make decisons understand the need for government services and regulations, which require funds to provide an enforce.

Which things can't we afford?

Maybe religious sects ought to pay taxes on their income, provide proof that they provide food, clothing and shelter to the poor indiscriminately, and use that as a deduction from their income tax.
Then welfare can be cut in needed communites and the church can do what they used to do in the days before they became political institutions.
How's that for an idea?

What part of "Congress shall pass no law" is difficult to understand?

Pretty straight foward...but we get arguements that "it isn't what they meant..."

These people will nevedr come to grips that words mean things...and in the entire exercise of the Founders vision? They wrote of it as to their intent.

It is still largely ignored. Sad...shameful, and unacceptable.

You want ideas?...I have a couple of all-purpose ideas, just for you:

1) MYOB...Knock it off with the arrogant and condescending pretense that everyone is just dying for you and your know-it-all do-gooder ilk to come swooping in, like the White Knight on his charger, to solve their problems.

2) Introspection (this may be especially difficult for arrogant and condescending schmucks like you)...Maybe you could suspend your arrogant and condescending do-goodery long enough to notice that few if any of your current bright ideas are working as advertised. In fact, perhaps you can name the last...no, the first time any one of you arrogant and condescending do-gooders stood back, looked at the mess you've caused, and said "Wow, we really screwed the pooch there...Probably best we just scrap this abortion of a program and cut the losses to the taxpayer."....Nope, just like Jeff Spicoli looking at the Camaro he wrecked, you keep insisting "we can fix that, my dad has the ultimate set of tools". Either that, or y'all look around --just like you are now-- and demand that somebody else come up with some ideas on how to help you salvage your arrogant and condescending socialistic do-gooder programs.

Just a couple ideas for ya there, Francis.

You really are limited Dude, and I must add pitiful. The mess we've got is a result of too little effective government, and yes, Bush allowed and contributed to creating the mess - not socialists - as you and other RWers hope to convince others to believe.
If you weren't so ignorant we could debate the history of 'socialism' in the United States, not what has been called socialist because movements for better wages and working conditions threatened the power elite.
You won't debate the reality that unfetted capitalism threatens liberty as did Feudalism and 20th Century Marxism.
As for suggesting I'm arrogant and consescending, it's likely true. I find your little idiotgrams and yhour ideology to be stupid and myopic, and you to be an obnoxious twit.

You revert to blaming GEORGE BOOOOOOOOSH! for everything short of ring-around-the-collar and I'm the one who's limited!?!?!?!??

Like I said....Absolutely ZERO introspection.

I planned ahead and saved for the new roof so I didn't have to borrow money I didn't have. Same as replacing 18 110 year old windows, a few at a time. I know I cannot do everything at once. When the last 7 windows are in, then we'll look at the next big project.

That is fiscal responsibility. Not borrowing on the next Generations future.

You're not as dumb as I suspected.

You'll find that most people aren't as dumb as you suspected when you get over yourself.

AMEN to that

But neither the Tea Party nor neo-Republicans offer an alternative, at least one that is viable and a practical soluton to the mess made by Washington.
Of course you Lefties don't think that tax cuts and smaller government are "viable and practical". Therein lies the problem.

Too limited government. Bullcrap

The mess we are in is because people refuse to take responsibility for their actions and expect someone else to take care of them. The mess we are in is because people choose to be arrogant and think they are better than others rather than getting off their butts and working hard to become better than others. We are in the mess we are in because people refuse to be honest in their daily lives and then wonder why people are dishonest.

No, we are the way we are because we refuse to accept responsibility and exercise our freedom, not because we have too much freedom.

Please enumerate the freedoms you have lost. the personal freedoms you care so much about. which ones have been removed since January 20, 2009.

If you're an oil company, you have lost the "freedom" to pollute without recourse. If you're a hedge fund manager, perhaps you have lost the "freedom" to bilk people out of their life savings and yet manage to personally amass a fortune. But no one has taken away your freedom to speak, own a small arsenal, drive a gas guzzler while our soldiers die to secure the fuel for it.

Otherwise, it's just more of the typical fear mongering we have come to expect, isn't it?

I no longer have the freedom to decide whether or not I want health insurance. Some do-gooding liberal son of a bitch decided he knew better than I did.
